What causes yellow leucorrhea and lower abdominal pain?

Whether leucorrhea is normal is also a barometer of whether a woman’s body is healthy. If the leucorrhea is white, transparent, and the amount is not large, this indicates that the woman is less likely to suffer from gynecological inflammation. However, if you not only feel pain in the lower abdomen, but also have symptoms of yellow leucorrhea, you should pay attention, because this indicates that there is a problem with your body. Let me explain it to you in four points below.

1. Fungal vaginitis:

This disease is one of the most common vaginitis, often caused by Candida albicans infection. It is more common in pregnant women and diabetic patients. Long-term use of broad-spectrum antibiotics may cause imbalance of normal vaginal flora.

It is conducive to the growth and reproduction of mold and is prone to this disease. Patients taking corticosteroids, immunosuppressants and autoimmune diseases are prone to this disease. Patients with vitamin B6 deficiency and chronic wasting diseases are prone to yellow leucorrhea.

2. Trichomonas vaginitis:

This disease is the most common vaginitis and is caused by infection with Trichomonas vaginalis, an anaerobic parasitic protozoan that often parasitizes the urogenital tract. In women, it mainly exists in the vagina, and also in the urethra, paraurethral glands, bladder and other parts. In men, it often parasitizes in the urethra, prostate and other parts.

3. Senile vaginitis:

It is more common in elderly women who have been postmenopausal for many years. After menopause, ovarian function declines, endogenous estrogen is deficient, genitals atrophy, vaginal epithelium becomes thinner, local resistance is weakened, pathogenic bacteria can easily multiply and cause inflammation.

4. IUD insertion or painless abortion causes:

If a woman has recently undergone surgery such as an IUD or painless abortion, her vaginal discharge may become a little yellow, but it will not last too long and will generally return to normal in about a week.

In addition to the above reasons, yellow leucorrhea may also be caused by diseases such as uterine fibroids, cervical cancer, and fallopian tube cancer. Therefore, when the leucorrhea shows symptoms of yellowing, you must pay attention to it and actively go to the hospital for examination, because some serious diseases are very effective when treated in the early stages.
