What should I do if my genitals are leukoplakia and itching?

Many female friends experience vulvar itching, and in order to relieve the itching they often choose to use detergents, antibacterial drugs or injections. Not only does this not cause a cure, but it can make the situation more serious. This disease is prone to recurring, and if it is not cured for a long time, it will be accompanied by other infections. So how should it be treated and identified?

Experts in traditional Chinese medicine remind that if the vulva is extremely itchy and does not heal for a long time, and the vulva skin and mucous membranes become lighter in color, it is probably not ordinary vaginitis, and you should be alert to vulvar leukoplakia, which has the risk of cancer.

Vulvar leukoplakia is a type of vulvar malnutrition. This type of vulvar leukoplakia actually refers to a disease of tissue degeneration and pigment changes caused by local nerve and vascular nutrition disorders in the vulva, which seriously affects the patient's work and married life. The cause of vulvar leukoplakia is still not very clear. The known factors include: vulvar infection and inflammatory stimulation, endocrine disorders, and genetic factors (the vulvar leukoplakia caused by genetics is mainly atrophic type, and the patients are mainly young girls) which can induce the disease. There are other diseases, such as diabetes, vitiligo, vulvar eczema, vulvar itching, etc., which may also lead to or aggravate the formation and development of vulvar leukoplakia if they abuse drugs or are improperly treated.

Vulvar leukoplakia is usually more common in menopausal women, and has a tendency to occur in younger people in recent years. As women age, local subcutaneous fat decreases, nutrient absorption is crossed, and nerves are easily exposed superficially, which stimulates itching of the skin. Although vulvar leukoplakia occurs more frequently in the north than in the south, the hot and humid climate in the south can cause persistent itching, which is conducive to the formation of vulvar leukoplakia.

As our understanding of the disease continues to develop, we have learned that many patients not only experience itching, but may also experience some local color changes. When the symptoms are more serious, the color may turn white, so we must remind you here not to scratch or rub frequently.
