How painful is it for a pregnant woman to have a caesarean section?

In particular, some pregnant women who are about to give birth are worried about whether to be submissive or have a cesarean section. In fact, both submission and cesarean section need to be chosen based on each person's physical condition. Some pregnant women are afraid of pain and will choose a cesarean section, while some pregnant women think that natural birth is better. So which is more painful, natural birth or cesarean section? How painful will it be if you choose a cesarean section?

With the improvement of modern anesthesia technology, the anesthesia effect during cesarean section is generally very good, and most women do not feel anything during the operation. After surgery, analgesia can continue if conditions permit. However, even so, the pain from the incision usually lasts for several days after surgery. Many women are too uncomfortable to get up even within 24 hours after giving birth due to the pain.

Since the intestinal function is suppressed after surgery, the mother can hardly eat within 24 hours after the operation, so it is impossible to have enough milk secretion. Therefore, after a cesarean section, the mother's lactation will be 1-2 days later than that of a normal birth. Due to the needs of surgical operations, a urinary catheter is usually required. Continuous catheterization will greatly increase the chance of urinary tract infection.

Cesarean section seems to have anesthesia and analgesia, so there is no pain during the operation, but the pain after the operation may last for several days. In contrast, women who give birth naturally can get out of bed right after delivery, eat normally, recover their strength quickly, and produce milk quickly, which is more beneficial for mother and child.

Technology is very advanced nowadays. Caesarean section can make many female friends feel no pain and give birth safely. So is it really no pain at all? According to traditional sayings, natural birth still has some benefits, especially for the fetus's respiratory system. However, this also varies from person to person.
