What to know about ectopic pregnancy test

For women who are pregnant or preparing to become pregnant, there is no need to fear ectopic pregnancy, because we all know that this is an abnormal pregnancy and needs to be terminated through gestures. This ectopic pregnancy will pose a threat to pregnant women and fetuses. So below we will introduce some methods of blood testing for ectopic pregnancy. I hope that every pregnant or non-pregnant woman should understand this common sense.

Generally, the HCG radioimmunoassay value of a normal person is less than 3.1. If it exceeds 5, the possibility of conception can be considered. If it exceeds 10, pregnancy can be basically confirmed. HCG can rise to greater than 2500IU/L 35-50 days after pregnancy. The early diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy is mainly based on the detection of blood HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). Because HCG is a specific hormone secreted during pregnancy, HCG can be used to assist in the diagnosis of early unruptured ectopic pregnancy. Normally developed villi secrete a large amount of HCG, and the daily titer continues to rise rapidly, increasing by more than 66% every 48 hours.

If the amount of HCG increase every two days is greater than 66%, it can be diagnosed as intrauterine pregnancy; if the increase is less than 66%, there is a high possibility of ectopic pregnancy or intrauterine pregnancy hypoplasia. For ectopic pregnancy, due to the thin muscle layer of the fallopian tube and poor blood supply, the HCG secretion is very low. The daily appreciation is less. The increase in 48 hours was less than 50%. (If HCG is difficult to confirm, blood progesterone can be used for auxiliary diagnosis.

It is well recognized that patients with ectopic pregnancy have low blood progesterone levels. Therefore, it can be used as one of the early diagnosis methods. The critical value is 63nmol/L. Further B-ultrasound examination can be performed, especially "vaginal ultrasound" examination is very helpful in diagnosing ectopic pregnancy. After a woman becomes pregnant, an increase in HCG can be detected in her blood starting from the 9th to 11th day, and the amount of β-HCG can double every two days thereafter (even if there is threatened miscarriage, the rate of HCG increase will not change). For example, if today's value is 234, if the test result the day after tomorrow is around 450, it can be considered as normal intrauterine pregnancy. If the rate of increase is slow for two consecutive times, it indicates an ectopic pregnancy or abnormal development of the embryo.

After reading the above introduction, everyone should pay attention to these common sense issues in daily activities, and after pregnancy, you must actively go to the hospital for check-ups so that you can know the baby's health status. If you find any problems, treat them in time to minimize the harm.
