Gynecological cervical examination process

sampling

Use a broom sampler to collect a sufficient number of cells from the cervix. Gently insert the central bristle portion of the broom sampler deep into the cervical canal so that the shorter bristles fully contact the ectocervix. Gently push the sampler forward and turn the broom-shaped sampler in the same clockwise direction for 5 full revolutions. Do not turn back and forth.

rinsing

Rinse the broom sampler in a vial of EDTA patented preservation solution. Repeatedly push the broom sampler into the bottom of the bottle to force the bristles to spread out, 10 times in total. Finally, the broom sampler is quickly spun in the solution to further rinse the cell sample. Then throw away the sampler, and do not leave the broom head of the sampler in the sample storage bottle.

Tighten

Tighten the cap until the torque mark on the cap passes the torque mark on the bottle.

Records: Write the patient's name and sample number on the blank label on the bottle, and fill in the patient's personal information and medical history on the cytology test application form.

Time to get test results: The time varies according to the characteristics of different hospitals, but the longest is no more than two weeks.

TCT examination is not suitable for the following people: women who have not had sexual life and women who are menstruating.

TCT examination precautions:

1. If you have bleeding symptoms during pregnancy and suspect threatened abortion, you need to do a B-ultrasound to confirm whether it is appropriate to do a cervical examination.

2. Because you need to take off your lower body clothes during the examination, you should wear clothes and shoes that are easy to take off and change.

The above is an introduction to the process of gynecological cervical examination. I hope it can be of some help to many female friends. Women should not always feel embarrassed when they suffer from gynecological diseases. They must go to the hospital for examination in time. If there are any problems with the body, they should consult a doctor in time.
