Things to note when your menstrual period is postponed every month

In fact, in daily life, female friends have begun to neglect their physical health. This may lead to not paying attention to their hygiene during menstruation, causing delayed menstruation. It must be taken seriously, otherwise it will have a great impact on your body. So what should you pay attention to when your menstruation is delayed every month?

Note:

Impact on pregnancy

Generally speaking, a normal female menstrual cycle is 28 to 30 days. It is normal to have a period one week earlier or later, but if it is delayed too long, it will have a certain impact on pregnancy.

Delayed menstruation is often a common phenomenon among women. If it happens occasionally, of course, you don’t have to mind it. But if it happens frequently, you should check the cause, because delayed menstruation is often a precursor to disease and should be taken seriously. The most common clinical condition is polycystic ovary syndrome. If you have obesity, hirsutism, acne, infertility, etc., you should have an endocrine check. Once any abnormality is found, you should seek treatment as soon as possible. If you suddenly experience excessive mental stress, grief, sadness, anger, heartbreak and other abnormal emotions, it will often lead to delayed menstruation. In such cases, the patient often suffers from breast pain, irritability, depression and discomfort.

Delayed menstruation sometimes causes pelvic congestion during menstruation, which can cause soreness and heaviness in the lumbar region. About half of young women experience dysmenorrhea during menstruation. It is also usually accompanied by headaches, low blood pressure, pale complexion, cold sweats and infertility, so it should be treated actively.

Pelvic inflammatory disease

Pelvic inflammatory disease actually has a certain impact on menstruation, but the impact on menstruation mainly depends on the severity of pelvic inflammatory disease. Different degrees of pelvic inflammatory disease have different impacts on menstruation. For example, if you suffer from chronic endometritis, the long-term stimulation of inflammation affects the exfoliation, regeneration and repair of the endometrium, as well as the contraction of uterine blood vessels, leading to irregular menstrual cycles, excessive menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual bleeding or irregular vaginal bleeding.

Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease includes chronic endometritis, chronic salpingo-oophoritis, chronic pelvic peritonitis and chronic pelvic connective tissue inflammation. Whether several inflammations exist at the same time or alone, they can cause menstrual disorders.

Pregnancy test

You can take a pregnancy test if your period is delayed for 7 days, and you can use an early pregnancy test strip. The specific operation method is as follows:

1. Urine should be collected using a disposable urine cup or clean container. Any random urine can be used for this experiment. If the urine cannot be sent for testing in time, it should be placed in a refrigerator at 4 degrees Celsius and be rewarmed before testing. The test can be performed at any time of the day, but morning urine is best.

2. Tear open the aluminum foil bag along the cut and take out the test paper. Insert the end of the test paper with the arrow into the urine specimen container, take it out and lay it flat after at least 3 seconds, and wait for the result to be displayed within 5 minutes. Note: Place the test paper in a container before testing, and the depth of the test paper inserted into the urine must not exceed the mark line.

3. If it is positive, that is, a red reaction line appears in the test area and the control area. Congratulations, you have become a mother. If it is a red line, it means you are not pregnant.

If your period is delayed to check whether you are pregnant, you can go to the hospital for an ultrasound. Usually, early pregnancy ultrasound examination is a good way to determine intrauterine and ectopic pregnancies. Early pregnancy B-ultrasound examination can also detect pregnancy complications, such as abnormal uterine pregnancy, prompting clinicians to rationally choose the method of termination of pregnancy. Its operation is special and accurate, and the early pregnancy B-ultrasound examination is simple, economical, safe and accurate.

The above is about some precautions when menstruation is delayed. Everyone is already very clear about it. Don’t do things that are not good for your body. If you really encounter it, you still have to pay attention, because irregular menstruation can cause many complications.
