Huaganjian for treating breast hyperplasia

Fibrocystic breast disease is a general term for space-occupying lesions of breast tissue proliferation, including single or multiple proliferations of mammary lobules, alveolar epithelial cells, mammary ducts, and fibrous tissue. Among them, cystic hyperplasia of the breast and lobular hyperplasia are the most common and are common diseases of the breast in young women. The specific clinical manifestations are the appearance of diffuse hard lumps of varying sizes and shapes in one or both breasts, accompanied by local swelling, stringy pain or dull pain. The shape, size and intensity are affected by factors such as the physiological cycle, mentality, and fatigue.

Breast hyperplasia falls into the category of "breast disease", "breast nodule" and "breast plague" in traditional Chinese medicine. The etiology of the disease is liver depression and qi stagnation, Chong and Ren disorders, phlegm and turbidity blocking the collaterals, and deficiency of both liver and spleen. Traditional Chinese medicine divides it into liver qi stagnation type, qi deficiency and blood stasis type, qi stagnation and blood stasis type, phlegm qi stagnation type, Chong and Ren disorder type, kidney qi deficiency type, etc.

According to Jilin Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2000, (2): 33, Gong Qinshuang and Yin Xuehua reported: 50 cases of breast hyperplasia were treated with Huaganjian, with 20 days as one course of treatment. Among them, 29 cases were cured (breast pain and lumps subsided after 1-2 courses of treatment, and no recurrence occurred during 2 years of follow-up), 18 cases were significantly effective (breast pain and lumps subsided after 2-3 courses of treatment, and clinical symptoms were relieved although there were recurrences within 2 years), and 3 cases were ineffective (breast pain was relieved or subsided after more than 3 courses of treatment, but the lumps did not shrink). The total effective rate was 94%.
