Fluid discharge during pregnancy

Fluid discharge during pregnancy

Pregnancy is a relatively complicated process for women. After pregnancy, you should pay more attention to your diet, rest and sleep, etc., especially pay attention to the development of the fetus, and have prenatal checkups on time. A woman’s menstruation stops temporarily after pregnancy, but why does she have fluid discharge from her vagina in the middle of pregnancy? First of all, we need to rule out the possibility of amniotic fluid leakage, which may cause fetal hypoxia; in addition, we must also pay attention to the situation of threatened abortion.

1. What is the reason for fluid discharge from the vagina during mid-pregnancy?

1. Increased secretions or water rupture

If there is fluid outflow in the middle of pregnancy, it should be a sign of increased secretions. If the amount of water outflow is too large, there will be symptoms of water breaking. It is best to go to the hospital for relevant examinations in time. It is not ruled out that it is caused by the rupture of amniotic fluid. When the amniotic fluid ruptures, liquid will usually flow out of the lower body. In severe cases, it may flow out like urine. This situation is more dangerous and can easily cause fetal intrauterine hypoxia and suffocation.

2. Threatened abortion

This is considered a possible threatened abortion. It is recommended to go to the hospital for a B-ultrasound examination and receive intramuscular injection of progesterone under the guidance of a doctor to preserve the pregnancy. During the period of preserving the pregnancy, the patient should rest in bed. In addition to strictly prohibiting sexual intercourse, it is recommended that you maintain emotional stability, avoid tense environments, supplement with adequate nutrition, and take some vitamin E orally.

3. Fungal vaginitis

If a woman has liquid secretions during pregnancy, she can go to the hospital for specific examinations. This situation may be caused by candidal vaginitis. It is recommended to clean the vulva, change underwear frequently, pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva, and seek treatment in time.

2. Precautions during mid-pregnancy

1. It is recommended to develop good living habits now. Go to bed early and get up early, and don't stay up late, which is not good for pregnant women and babies. It is best not to eat blood-activating foods, because the baby is formed by qi and blood, and blood-activating foods will be bad for the fetus. For example, it is best not to eat sour foods and fruits. You can consult a doctor about what to eat that is good for the fetus.

2. Women should check themselves and take good care of their private parts during the second trimester of pregnancy. They should clean their private parts properly to reduce the stimulation from adverse external factors. They should also change and wash their underwear frequently to reduce the stimulation of clothing to the vulva.
