The impact of pregnant women holding urine on the fetus

There are many things that pregnant women need to pay attention to during the ten months of pregnancy, such as not eating indiscriminately, not neglecting rest, not having too many mood swings, etc. But there are other aspects. Pregnant women cannot violate the "natural laws" of the human body. They must eat when they are hungry and cannot endure it. They must sleep when they are sleepy and cannot stay up late. They must also not hold it in when they are urgent. Not eating when hungry or sleeping when sleepy is not only harmful to the pregnant women themselves, but also will affect the normal development of the fetus. So, how much impact does holding urine in during pregnancy have on the fetus? Let’s talk about it below.

It is normal for pregnant women to urinate frequently, but since you need to urinate, you must not hold your urine. You will get infected and get gynecological diseases, which will eventually be harmful to the fetus, so don't hold your urine. Normal adults generally need to urinate 4 to 6 times a day, mostly during the day, with a urine volume of 200 to 400 ml each time. If you urinate too little, urine will be retained in the bladder for a long time, which can easily cause disease. Holding urine can cause urinary tract infection. There are bacteria living around the urethra of normal people. Although these bacteria can often enter the bladder, they do not always cause urinary tract infection. This is mainly because urine can flush away most of the bacteria, and the urinary tract mucosa also has bactericidal ability. If you hold your urine for a long time, the urine cannot flush away the bacteria, and a large number of bacteria gather in the urinary tract, which may cause urinary tract infection. Holding urine can cause cystitis. When you hold your urine, the bladder swells, the blood vessels in the bladder wall are compressed, the bladder mucosa is ischemic, and when the resistance is low, bacteria will take advantage of the opportunity to enter, causing acute cystitis.

I thought holding urine was a normal thing, but now everyone knows that it has harmful effects. Pregnant women may have more urgent needs to urinate. Some women may find it troublesome and want to hold it in until they can't hold it any longer before going to the toilet. However, after understanding the effects of holding urine on the fetus mentioned above, pregnant women should be careful not to hold urine. Also, holding urine is not only not recommended for pregnant women, but also for ordinary people.
