Nursing methods for itchy wounds three months after cesarean section

Many female friends who are preparing to give birth need to undergo a cesarean section because they find that they are unable to give birth or have a natural birth due to many factors. During the cesarean section, the wound needs to be healed. If the wound does not recover well, it can easily cause inflammation. What should we do about it?

Pay attention to the care of cesarean section wounds. First of all, you must keep the wound clean and dry to avoid infection caused by redness and swelling of the wound. Do not get the wound wet within 2 weeks after surgery. Once the wound shows local redness, swelling, heat, cracking, or purulent secretions, or has a fever, you must go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible.

Use minimal movement to prevent the stitches from breaking. After returning home, the mother should rest as much as possible and get up regularly to exercise lightly, but avoid overexertion and avoid holding the baby or lifting heavy objects to avoid squeezing the wound and causing local redness and swelling. In addition, you should keep warm, eat a healthy diet, and avoid stomachaches and colds, because coughing, nausea, and vomiting can cause stitches to break.

Dietary care: Increase protein and high-calorie diet within one week after delivery; eat more foods high in fiber to prevent constipation, which can cause increased negative pressure and tear sutures.

To prevent the formation of scars, we have introduced before that the wound will have a red scar in about one and a half years, and basically become a white soft scar after one and a half years. However, some pregnant women with skin scars will easily develop obvious scars. For this, we recommend that the family of the parturient gently massage the wound with their fingers for 3-5 minutes every day after one week, which can effectively reduce the formation of scars.

From the above article, we learned that the wound after cesarean section will itch three months later. First of all, this phenomenon will bring very serious consequences to people, such as the common wound inflammation and wound infection. In life, everyone must pay attention to diet and some care, and conduct necessary examinations.
