What is the cause of yellow vaginal discharge in girls?

Our leucorrhea is like a barometer, and any unhealthy condition will show up. The color of leucorrhea is colorless and transparent, but if the body is too cold or too hot. The color of the vaginal discharge will change. For example, yellow vaginal discharge is a pathological manifestation. It is necessary for us to understand the cause of yellow leucorrhea in girls.

When the amount, color, properties, odor, etc. of a girl's vaginal discharge changes, and the vaginal discharge turns yellow, it is likely that there is inflammation in the reproductive organs or urinary system. Abnormal vaginal discharge is common in the following situations:

1. Non-inflammatory leucorrhea

(1) Leucorrhea is sticky and profuse, which is seen after taking estrogen drugs.

(2) Women of childbearing age have too little vaginal discharge, which makes it impossible to meet their physiological needs. Women often feel dryness and discomfort in the vulva. This is often caused by ovarian dysfunction and insufficient secretion of sex hormones, and is also a pathological condition.

(3) Mental stimulation increases the secretions of the vulva, vagina and cervix, which become colorless and transparent.

(4) Leucorrhea is milky white and watery, and may occur in patients with pelvic tumors, retroflexed uterus, and chronic systemic diseases (heart failure, diabetes, anemia, tuberculosis, etc.). It is caused by pelvic and uterine congestion and increased vaginal secretions.

2. Inflammatory leucorrhea

(1) Leucorrhea is milky white or light yellow, purulent, large in amount, and has a foul odor, often accompanied by abdominal pain. It is usually caused by chronic cervicitis or endocervicitis.

(2) If the vaginal discharge is yellow or yellow-green, thin and foamy, or like rice water, grayish white, and has a foul odor, it is mostly caused by Trichomonas vaginalis.

(3) The leucorrhea of patients with gonorrhea is yellow and pus-like.

(4) The vaginal discharge secreted after amoeba infection usually appears as: bloody serous or yellow viscous secretions, sometimes mixed with small rotten meat-like substances (looks like yellow sauce soup).

(5) Leucorrhea is yellowish-white in color, and most of the time it is thick, but sometimes it can be thin. It is typically milky white, like bean curd, or in the form of white flakes or lumps, which is mostly caused by fungal infection.

The above are the causes of yellow leucorrhea. Various vaginal diseases are caused by bacteria, which is closely related to not paying attention to one's own hygiene in daily life habits. In order to prevent various gynecological diseases, we must first maintain good hygiene habits, take a bath frequently and change underwear frequently.
