Precautions for estrogen testing in women

Precautions for estrogen testing in women

As we all know, hormone tests can basically reflect the health of the body. For women, estrogen testing is a necessary basic test that reflects reproductive health, so no matter what reproductive health problems there are, estrogen testing is necessary. As the saying goes, doing twice the result with half the effort, if you make good preparations before the inspection, you can reflect the situation more accurately. So, what are the things to pay attention to when testing estrogen in women?

What are the precautions for female estrogen testing? Estrogen is a sex hormone. Its main physiological function is to promote the development and maturation of female reproductive organs (such as promoting the growth of the endometrium), stimulate the appearance of female side characteristics, and affect metabolic function. Estrogen must be maintained at a normal level, otherwise it will cause a series of diseases. If the estrogen level is low and the endometrium is too thin, it can easily lead to infertility or miscarriage. For this situation, a variety of methods can be used to regulate the condition, including hormone replacement therapy, traditional Chinese medicine treatment, and estrogen supplementation in the diet.

In addition to estrogen, women also need to understand six sex hormones, namely follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol (E2), progesterone (P), testosterone (T), and prolactin (PRL), which basically meet the clinician's screening for endocrine disorders and general understanding of physiological functions.

Generally speaking, the following are some things to note when testing estrogen in women:

Inappropriate groups: None.

Taboos before examination: No sexual intercourse three days before the examination.

You should fast after 8 pm the day before the physical examination.

The best time to check endocrine system is 3-5 days after menstruation. This period belongs to the early follicular stage and can reflect the functional status of the ovaries. However, for those who have not had their menstruation for a long time and are eager to know the test results, they can have the test at any time. The time will be taken as the time before menstruation, and the results will refer to the test results of the luteal phase.

Requirements during the examination: Relax during the examination. The examination may cause physical and mental burden, so you should face it positively and actively cooperate with the examination.

The above is an introduction to the precautions for women’s estrogen testing. It should be noted here that female estrogen testing is the most basic test, so whether it is a basic reproductive or health examination, it is a necessary examination method. Before the examination, women must pay attention to their diet and maintain reproductive hygiene.
