Post-abortion care

Post-abortion care

Miscarriage is very common, and there are many reasons for it. The most common one is that women are emotionally unstable in the early stages of pregnancy, which leads to miscarriage. After such a problem occurs, women should protect their bodies in time to avoid affecting their next pregnancy. So what are the conditioning methods after miscarriage? The following is a detailed introduction so that you can have some understanding of this type of situation and know what to do best.

Post-abortion care:

(1) After the operation, the vulva should be kept clean. Do not take a bath within 2 weeks and do not have sexual intercourse within 1 month to prevent infection.

(2) It is normal to have or not have a small amount of vaginal bleeding within 10 days after surgery. If you experience abdominal pain, fever, vaginal bleeding that is greater than the menstrual volume, or bleeding that lasts for 2 weeks after surgery, you should go to the hospital for treatment immediately.

(3) After surgery, patients should rest for half a month as required. During the rest period, patients should avoid strenuous physical labor, increase nutritional intake, and eat more foods rich in protein and vitamins to promote physical recovery.

(4) Contraception should be taken after surgery. After an artificial abortion, the ovaries and uterus will recover their original functions relatively quickly. If you do not take contraceptive measures, you will become pregnant again soon. Therefore, do not have sexual intercourse within 1 month after the operation. For those who wish to have children, they should get pregnant after three months at the earliest, and more than half a year is appropriate.

Home care: (1) Generally, you need to rest for half a month or one month. Because of the new trauma to the uterus and vaginal bleeding, retrograde sensation is likely to occur.

Do not take a bath before the blood is cleaned up, and do not have sexual intercourse within 1 month.

(2) Pay attention to vaginal hygiene, such as washing the vulva every day, but be careful not to let dirty water flow into the vagina.

(3) During the rest period, you should exercise appropriately to facilitate the discharge of blood accumulated in the uterus. Do not stay in bed all day.

(4) Pay attention to nutritional balance and ensure the intake of protein, such as eggs, milk, fish, poultry, meat, etc., and eat more vegetables and fruits. However, you should be careful to eat less raw, cold and hard food to avoid irritating the intestines and causing indigestion. Under the guidance of a doctor, you can take some soups and medicated foods according to your preferences.

(5) Take antibiotics and drugs that promote uterine contraction, such as motherwort, prescribed by the doctor on time.

(6) Generally speaking, miscarriage will not have a psychological impact. If negative emotions occur, the husband, family, friends, and colleagues should provide spiritual care. You can also distract yourself by watching TV, reading newspapers, or calling counseling hotlines. If necessary, you can consult a psychologist.

When understanding the methods of conditioning after miscarriage, women should also pay attention to their diet during the conditioning. Eating some mild food at this time will be very helpful in conditioning the body, and mild food will not have any effect on the stomach and intestines, so you can eat it with confidence. After a miscarriage, a woman's body needs to adjust for 2 months so that no other diseases will occur.
