What are the conservative treatments for endometriosis?

Speaking of endometriosis, it is a common disease among women. This type of disease has a great impact on women's physical health. After women suffer from this disease, they need to receive timely treatment, which will help improve their own disease. So what are the conservative treatments for endometriosis? This is also something that many women are not very clear about. The following is a detailed introduction to the treatment methods for this type of disease.

Conservative treatment of endometriosis:

1. Conservative treatment often uses pseudo-pregnancy or pseudo-menopause therapies, such as danazol, tamoxifen, nemetol, and provera, which artificially cause the cessation of menstruation to form a pseudo-pregnancy state. Without menstruation, there will be no dysmenorrhea, but this type of drug has great side effects and can cause certain damage to the liver and kidneys. Some patients have to stop taking the drug when the disease has not yet been cured due to side effects. After stopping the drug, menstruation will still occur and the disease will generally continue to develop.

2. There are two types of surgical treatment:

(1) Radical surgery, which involves the complete removal of both ovaries and uterus, is extremely cruel to young and childless women. The complications and sequelae caused by this surgery cause certain physical and mental pain to the patient, and menopausal syndrome may occur after the surgery.

(2) Conservative surgery involves local excision, peeling, and removal of the lesion. However, due to the heavy adhesion of the disease, the surgery is often incomplete. For example, if the lesion has been displaced to the sacroiliac ligament or invaded the rectum, the recurrence rate is high after electrocautery. Laparoscopy is both a diagnostic method and a treatment method, but there is a high chance of recurrence after surgery. Currently, it is easier to diagnose the disease with Western medicine, but it is also difficult to treat.

After understanding the conservative treatment methods of endometriosis, choosing these treatment methods can be very helpful in improving endometriosis. However, when treating endometriosis, women should pay attention to emotional adjustment. Before treating this type of disease, women should not be too nervous, otherwise it will not help the treatment of the disease.
