Women who have irregular work and rest schedules are prone to having scanty menstruation, because the cold stimulation during menstruation can cause the blood vessels in the pelvic cavity to contract excessively, resulting in scanty menstruation or even amenorrhea.

Sulking or encountering major spiritual stimulation and psychological trauma can easily lead to scanty menstruation in girls.

The most common causes are endocrine reasons, such as abnormal secretion of various hormones or anovulation. In addition, it may be caused by the endometrium itself, such as endometrial tuberculosis causing endometrial lesions or artificial abortion or curettage causing thin endometrium.
