Menstruation has always been normal but has not come

The menstrual period of each person is different. No one can guarantee that the menstrual period will come on that day, but as long as it is within a reasonable range, there is no need to worry too much. However, some people's menstrual period was quite normal before, but suddenly they did not have menstruation for two months. What is the reason? What are the reasons for the menstrual period to be normal all the time?

First, I got pregnant

For women of childbearing age, if their menstruation is delayed for more than a week, they should first use a pregnancy test stick to personally check whether they are pregnant. For a positive result with two red bars, they can consider going to the obstetrics department of the hospital for further treatment and having a blood test for hcg. A significant increase in this indicator can indicate the early stages of pregnancy.

Second, if the possibility of pregnancy is ruled out, and menstruation has not come for two consecutive months, it is considered to be caused by endocrine imbalance.

At this time, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a physical examination of six endocrine tests and three thyroid hormone tests. Generally speaking, idiopathic amenorrhea can be caused by endocrine dysfunction of the uterus and ovaries. The most common disease is polycystic ovary syndrome, followed by ovarian cysts. In addition, if prolactin increases, it can also cause idiopathic amenorrhea in women. The most common disease is hyperprolactinuria caused by pituitary microadenoma. Polycystic ovary syndrome can be diagnosed through six sex hormone tests and gynecological B-ultrasound examinations; treatment with estrogen can restore the menstrual cycle; patients with hyperprolactinuria need long-term treatment with bromocriptine to restore the menstrual cycle.

Third, multifunctional menstrual disorders

The menstrual period will be affected by factors such as external environmental damage, mental changes, diet, and lifestyle. For example, long-term work and study pressure, often working overtime and staying up late, irregular factors, cold weather, long-term business travel and fatigue, etc., will all affect the menstrual cycle.

Fourth, delayed menstruation caused by uterine wall disease

Especially patients who have experienced miscarriage before and women who often use high-efficiency or short-term contraceptives are prone to endometrial hyperplasia. When the endometrial thickness is more than 10mm, it is difficult to have menstruation, or spotting continues after menstruation. In addition, if the miscarriage process is not handled correctly, the uterine wall growth and repair are poor, and the endometrium is thin, it will also cause idiopathic amenorrhea. The diagnosis can be confirmed through gynecological B-ultrasound examination, and active treatment measures can be taken according to the results to restore menstruation.
