What is the reason for the endometrium not growing?

A woman's endometrium is very magical. It changes with the changes in the hormone levels in the female body. The thickness of the endometrium varies during the entire menstrual period. If you want to get pregnant, the endometrium thickness must reach 8-10MM at the time of ovulation. However, many women find that their endometrium does not thicken at the time of ovulation. What's going on? What is the reason why the endometrium does not grow?

Experts say: The thickness of the normal endometrium is not constant, but a dynamic process that changes with the menstrual cycle. It begins to thicken gradually after the menstrual cycle and reaches its thickest before the menstrual cycle.

1. During the menstrual cycle: the functional layer of the endometrium is shed and the basal layer is retained.

2. Proliferative stage: During the 6th to 14th day of the menstrual cycle, the thickness of the uterus reaches 1-3 mm.

3. Secretory phase: Day 15-28 of the menstrual cycle, the endometrium is 5-7mm thick. The thickness of the endometrium also varies from person to person. Your endometrial lining is normal in thickness

The reasons for the failure of the endometrium to grow are divided into systemic factors and local factors. Systemic factors include endocrine disorders (endocrine disorders), such as low estrogen levels, insufficient progesterone, abnormal ovulation and growth hormone deficiency; local factors are mainly endometrial damage, adhesion and absence.

Diagnosis: It depends on electrochemiluminescence to check hormone levels, vaginal four-dimensional color ultrasound to monitor endometrial thickness and follicle size, and hysteroscopy. Be careful to exclude local factors before diagnosing systemic factors.

Treatment: Hormone supplementation or surgical treatment depending on the cause of the disease.

1. For those with low estrogen levels, start supplementing with 1 unit of natural estrogen on the 10th day of the menstrual cycle, and this will last for 5 days. Using it too early will inhibit ovulation, and using it too long will cause excessive endometrial hyperplasia.

2. In case of luteal insufficiency, you should take hmg75iu every day for five consecutive days on the day of the menstrual cycle, which can increase the number of granulosa cells in the follicles and increase the secretion of progesterone.

3. For older women with less menstrual flow, one unit of growth hormone can be given per day. The usage varies depending on the cause and age (growth hormone is an anti-aging hormone and has no growth effect on adults).

4. Endometrial adhesion and damage can only be treated with cold instruments under hysteroscopy and then anti-adhesion treatment. In severe cases, endometrial transplantation is required.

After understanding the reasons that cause the endometrium to not grow, we need to remind all female friends that if the endometrium really does not grow, you must seek medical treatment in time, especially for women who have not yet given birth. If it is not treated in time, it will have a great impact on future pregnancies. In order to avoid the situation of endometrium not growing, women must first know how to protect themselves and not blindly undergo abortion surgery.
