What to do if you have bacterial vaginitis during pregnancy

Gynecological diseases are a very troublesome disease that troubles many modern people today because it is difficult to cure and is a relatively stubborn disease. And the number of patients is increasing day by day. In fact, many of these diseases are caused by bacterial infections. For example, take bacterial vaginosis in pregnant women. In most cases, it is caused by bacterial infection due to pregnant women's neglect of personal hygiene. Let’s take a look at the specific causes and treatments of bacterial vaginosis in pregnant women!

Bacterial vaginosis is a clinical syndrome caused by the replacement of normal vaginal flora with large anaerobes, Gardnerella vaginalis, and Mycoplasma hominis. It was once named Haemophilus vaginitis, Canardella vaginitis, and nonspecific vaginitis. It is called bacterial vaginosis because there are a large number of different bacteria in the vagina and the clinical and pathological characteristics do not have inflammatory changes.

The harm of bacterial vaginosis to patients themselves is imaginable. In addition to causing trouble to the mother's reproductive health, patients with severe bacterial infections will also be affected in their normal work and study. During pregnancy, this risk naturally increases because it also endangers the fetus - at the mildest, it may cause fetal movement disorders, and at the worst, it may lead to premature birth or miscarriage.

It is reported that the percentage of pregnant women suffering from bacterial vaginosis, postpartum infection, neonatal infection and neonatal jaundice increases greatly, which are 14.3%, 9.5% and 23.8% respectively, which are several times higher than that of normal pregnant women, and directly threaten the development and health of the fetus. In addition, some scholars believe, through a large number of clinical observations, that this disease is directly related to premature rupture of membranes and intrauterine infection. Obviously, this situation is extremely unfavorable to eugenics. Therefore, active treatment is necessary. Currently, traditional treatments are mostly based on drug therapy, and the abuse of antibiotics is very serious. Large amounts of antibiotics may cause fetal malformations, asthma, eczema, etc.

Within 12 weeks of pregnancy, you can use 2% -3% soda water or Cleanser to clean the vulva and vagina. At the same time, change your underwear every day and wash and iron it together with the towel and basin. After 12 weeks of pregnancy, after cleaning according to the above method, gently dry the vulva and place nystatin suppository deep in the vagina. Use it every night before going to bed. In case of vulvitis, apply Daktarin cream to the vulva. Generally, a course of treatment is 10-14 days. Check again after 7 days of stopping the medication. Check for fungi for the third time 2 weeks after the symptoms disappear. The treatment can be terminated after recovery. After 35 weeks of pregnancy, vaginal operations should not be performed to avoid intrauterine infection.

In fact, as long as you pay attention to personal hygiene, it is easy to avoid the occurrence of these diseases. In short, the treatment of bacterial vaginosis in pregnant women is still a long process that requires persistence, and maintaining personal hygiene is very necessary.
