During pregnancy, the mother's body changes greatly, and it is easy for her abdomen to swell and her feet to swell. Compared with these, what we are going to talk about today is the place where pregnant mothers usually talk about their entrance - the breast. There are many changes that occur in the breasts. Due to the changes in hormones in the body during pregnancy and the influence of the breasts' preparation for postpartum breastfeeding, the breasts will undergo the following four changes during pregnancy. Expectant mothers should learn about them first. Pregnant mother's nipple photo transformation 1. Breast growth Breast enlargement during pregnancy is the most obvious change in all women's breasts after pregnancy. It is called "secondary growth" by many women. From "airport" to small skyscrapers, if it is original growth and development, it is also magnificent. How do breasts develop again? During pregnancy, under the action of hormones such as progesterone and human chorionic gonadotropin, the fat tissue of the breast increases, the blood supply increases, and the growth and development of milk tubes and mammary glands are promoted. Around 6-8 weeks of pregnancy, the mother's breasts will generally increase by 1-2 cup sizes or even more. Around March and April, the growth will be faster, and in the later stages of pregnancy, the breast growth will be more significant. If this is your first baby, the change in breast growth will be more significant. The reason for the increase depends on the situation of different pregnant mothers. For some pregnant women, it may not be very obvious, while for others it is more prominent. 2. Darkening of the areola During pregnancy, the mother's blood supply will increase by nearly half, so our blood vessels become more prominent, especially in the abdomen and breasts. In addition, under the stimulation of estrogen, prolactin and luteinizing hormone, the color of the nipples will become darker, and some bumps similar to "small pimples" will appear. Don't squeeze them. These are actually oil-producing glands that secrete oil-soluble substances to prevent the nipples and the skin of the nipples from cracking due to dryness and rapid growth. At the same time, the nipples will begin to expand in all directions. 3. Stretch marks appear The stomach and thighs are the favorite places for stretch marks, but they can also continue to grow secretly onto the breasts. The reasons that cause stretch marks on the breasts are based on the same basic principles as those that cause stretch marks on the abdomen. Due to weight gain, the breasts are also expanding, the elastic fibers and fibroblasts of the skin are damaged or ruptured, the skin becomes softer and narrower, and then some wavy lines of varying widths and lengths appear, which are stretch marks. 4. Secretly "leaking milk" During pregnancy, the breasts are preparing to produce milk after giving birth, and the first stage of milk conversion actually takes place in the second half of pregnancy. In the later stages of pregnancy, the breasts may secrete small amounts of milk components, such as whey protein. Some expectant mothers may even experience "leaking milk", but this is a relatively rare occurrence. If this happens, pregnant mothers don't need to panic. After all, it is normal. Just put a small piece of anti-breast pad in your underwear to avoid embarrassment. |
