Causes of uterine fibroids

Causes of uterine fibroids

According to current statistics, the incidence rate among women is higher than that among men, which means that women suffer from more diseases than men. This may be due to the different body structures between women and men. Cervicitis, gynecological inflammation, breast cancer, uterine fibroids and other diseases are undoubtedly the biggest blow to women. All women are likely to suffer from these diseases, but some women develop them later.

Nowadays, the range of women suffering from uterine fibroids is getting wider and wider, and the number of people suffering from it is also increasing. Although a uterine fibroid may seem small, if it is not completely cured, the harm and blow to women will be extremely fatal. Some women may never be able to become mothers due to such diseases.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that uterine fibroids are caused by internal injuries caused by the seven emotions, organ dysfunction, and qi stagnation and blood stasis. Modern medical research has found that the amount of estrogen receptors in fibroid tissue is higher than that in normal uterine muscle tissue. This suggests that the occurrence of uterine fibroids is related to endocrine disorders caused by long-term excessive estrogen levels. At the same time, hormone metabolism is regulated by higher nerve centers, so the activity of nerve centers may also play an important role in promoting this disease. In addition, cytogenetic studies have shown that some fibroids have cytogenetic abnormalities, so it is recommended to achieve good results.

The exact cause of uterine fibroids is unknown, but it may be related to excessively high estrogen levels in the body and long-term estrogen stimulation.

(a) Occasionally seen in women after menarche, more common in middle-aged women. After menopause, some fibroids stop growing and gradually shrink, but they cannot disappear on their own;

(ii) Myomas are often complicated by endometrial hyperplasia;

(iii) Patients with ovarian granulosa cell tumors and theca cell tumors (which can secrete estrogen) often have uterine fibroids;

(iv) During pregnancy, estrogen levels increase and fibroids often grow rapidly;

(V) Exogenous estrogen can accelerate the growth of fibroids.

After reading the above introduction, I feel it is very scary. If you are not careful, you will suffer from uterine fibroids. Fortunately, modern medicine is very developed and uterine fibroids are no longer a fatal disease. Therefore, female friends should not panic too much and believe that they are the healthiest.
