Five major causes of female infertility

Five major causes of female infertility

Do you want to have a baby? But do you know how to tell if you are suitable for pregnancy? If you have the following symptoms, your road to pregnancy will be difficult.

Male hormones take over

If you notice that the hair on your inner thighs is getting thicker, tends to move toward your abdomen, and is changing from a triangle to a square, it may indicate polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This may be due to an imbalance in hormone levels in the body, with male hormones dominating. "PCOS stimulates hair growth and disrupts ovulation, so many women cannot conceive normally." Katherine Johnson, professor of internal medicine at Harvard Medical School, said, "Generally, I will ask these patients to take hypoglycemic drugs, lower insulin levels, and lose weight to balance sex hormones and restore ovulation function."

Severe anemia or iron deficiency

Everyone's nails turn white when pressed. But if there is no recovery for nearly ten minutes, it may be a sign of anemia or iron deficiency. "Many women, especially those who have heavy menstrual bleeding, suffer from anemia. Those with severe anemia will experience decreased libido, and even if they are pregnant, it may affect the development of the fetus." Katherine Johnson recommends that women with anemia should eat more iron-rich foods and take some iron supplements under the guidance of a doctor.

Vitamin A deficiency

This is either due to lack of water or lack of vitamin A. If it is the latter, it may cause birth defects in the fetus. Carolyn Jacob, a professor of dermatology at Chicago, pointed out that young women need to consume at least 20,000 international units of vitamin A every day. In addition to eating more eggs and milk, women should also consult experts to choose the nutritional supplements that are most suitable for them.

Hypothyroidism, leading to metabolic disorders

After ruling out other causes such as high salt intake and birth control pills, we need to consider whether hypothyroidism is to blame. It can affect thyroid hormone levels, leading to metabolic disorders, and after pregnancy it can affect fetal brain development. Women who experience this symptom must seek medical attention promptly.

Oral fungal infection

Fungal infections can not only occur in the genitals, but can also infect the mouth and may even "spread from the bottom to the top." If you have white flakes at the corners of your mouth for a long time, you should see a dermatologist or general practitioner to find out the cause.

Other issues to watch out for: If your chest skin looks pitted, bruised, red, or feels swollen, itchy, or warm, it may indicate breast disease, or even breast cancer, and you must see a doctor as soon as possible. Check your mouth and tongue for small white or red spots. If they persist for more than two weeks, you should suspect oral cancer.
