Two months pregnant lower abdominal pain

Two months pregnant lower abdominal pain

During pregnancy, pregnant women will have various problems, especially abdominal pain is very common, which is related to many factors, such as hormones in the body, and diet during pregnancy, etc. If you experience left abdominal pain in the second month of pregnancy, it is generally caused by the following reasons. What causes left abdominal pain in 2 months of pregnancy?

1. Abdominal pain in early pregnancy may be due to the growth of the uterus. This condition is not life-threatening. Women often experience symptoms such as sourness, nausea, and upper abdominal discomfort because the enlarged uterus causes pressure on the stomach. In addition, during pregnancy, gastrointestinal motility weakens, gastric muscle tension is low, especially the relaxation of the gastric cardia sphincter, which causes gastric contents to reflux into the lower esophagus, irritating the esophageal mucosa and causing a burning sensation in the stomach.

2. Due to the enlargement of the uterus and pelvic congestion, the tendons beside the uterus will be affected by the enlarged uterus, causing soreness and dull pain in the lower abdomen, especially near the inner thighs on both sides, that is, around the groin. Abdominal pain in the early stages of pregnancy is generally not severe and does not affect the normal development of pregnancy. If there is a history of cervicitis and chronic appendicitis, the irritation of pelvic congestion to the inflamed area may also cause such discomfort.

3. Indications for cesarean section: common complications include threatened abortion and ectopic pregnancy. If pregnant women experience intermittent lower abdominal pain or standard abdominal pain in the first few months of pregnancy, it may be a sign of threatened miscarriage. If the pain gets worse or the bleeding continues, see a doctor right away.

4. Uterine contraction. In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, the fetus will have intermittent activities, such as rolling over, stretching legs, etc., which can cause lower abdominal pain in expectant mothers. In addition, there is also lower abdominal pain caused by uterine contraction.

There is also one thing to remind pregnant mothers, when sleeping, try to sleep on the left side of the pregnant woman, which can effectively relieve lower abdominal pain. Today's prenatal care and medical care are relatively complete. Pregnant mothers don't have to worry too much, just do regular prenatal checkups, cooperate with the doctor's guidance, and look forward to the birth of new life with peace of mind.
