First day of work! This spring health guide will help you start the year full of vitality!

Today is the eighth day of the first lunar month. I wish you all a good start to work. We have now entered the beginning of spring. As the saying goes, a year's plan begins in spring. After the holiday, how should "workers" who return to work take care of their body and mind and start a new year's work plan? The Hunan Cancer Hospital will show you some tips for health preservation in the beginning of spring.

1. Slow down the clothes and cover up in spring

"Cover yourself in spring and keep yourself cool in autumn, and you will be immune to all diseases." The primary principle of health preservation during the Beginning of Spring is to protect the Yang Qi. When the human body is full of Yang Qi, it will naturally radiate upward and outward, which will help resist external pathogens and prevent illness. Therefore, even if the temperature rises after the Beginning of Spring, do not take off your clothes too quickly. Generally, you need to "cover" when the average daily temperature does not reach 10℃, and the key parts should be the back, abdomen and soles of the feet. "Covering" the back can prevent colds; "covering" the abdomen can protect the spleen and stomach, prevent indigestion and diarrhea; "covering" the soles of the feet can prevent "cold from the feet" and protect the body's Yang Qi.

2. Moderate exercise can relieve "spring fatigue"

Spring sleepiness is a common physiological reaction in spring, mainly manifested as sleepiness, fatigue, and lethargy. During the Spring Festival, people often have dinner and chat with relatives and friends indoors, and lack outdoor exercise, which is more likely to cause poor blood circulation and increase sleepiness. Therefore, it is better to increase appropriate physical activities or light exercise, such as walking, jogging, Tai Chi, Ba Duan Jin, Wu Qin Xi, etc., which can help promote the circulation of blood in the body, regulate liver qi, and effectively relieve spring sleepiness.

3. Combing your hair can also relieve liver qi

Spring corresponds to the "liver" in the theory of the five internal organs of traditional Chinese medicine. The liver is responsible for growth. That is to say, if the growth of liver qi is not good in spring, it is easy to have common spring depression, anxiety and other emotional problems. The moderate exercise mentioned above can help regulate emotions. For those who do not have time or cannot tolerate outdoor exercise, combing hair is also a trick to relieve liver qi.

Every morning, use a wooden comb, an ox horn comb or our own fingertips to comb our hair one or two hundred times, using a little force when combing your hair, and comb until your scalp is slightly warm. This is in line with the characteristics of the emergence and rise of Yang energy in spring, and plays a role in dispersing stagnation, dredging Qi and blood, and unblocking Yang energy.

4. Daily tea drinking can relieve liver depression

In spring, liver qi is in season. Among the five internal organs, liver is responsible for regulating qi and is closely related to emotions. If liver qi is regulated too much, people will be impatient and irritable. If liver qi is not regulated enough, people will be depressed and repressed. You may try the following two tea substitutes

Erhua Soothing Liver Tea

Chrysanthemum Cassia Tea

Finally, I wish you all a happy new year.
