Normal HPV report

Normal HPV report

HPV, also known as human papillomavirus (HPV) testing, is mainly used for cervical cancer screening. Normal HPV tests are divided into two types: quantitative tests and diagnostic tests. For the diagnosis test, if all the tests in the HPV analysis are negative, it is a normal report. If any one of the tests in the analysis is positive, it indicates an abnormality. It is necessary to combine t CT and puncture biopsy again. A normal value of HPV quantitative analysis test is less than 1, which is normal. If the value exceeds 1, it is positive, indicating an abnormality. If HPV is positive, TCT must be combined and a puncture biopsy is necessary.

For a long time, people, especially women, have had a great fear of cervical cancer. In fact, cervical cancer is not terrible. It is the only cancer among all cancers at present that can be effectively prevented, treated in time in the early stages, and cured at an early stage. Most of the women who are afraid of cervical cancer do not have enough knowledge about it.

Modern science has long determined that cervical cancer in women is caused by infection of the cervix with human papillomavirus (HPV). Although there is a link between cervical cancer and HPV, not all women infected with HPV will develop cervical cancer.

Because HPV is widely present in nature, human skin, digestive system, respiratory system, etc. are all infected with this type of virus. Therefore, any woman who has sex may transmit HPV to her reproductive system through sexual intercourse. Medical staff have conducted a survey on women aged 18 to 28 and found that HPV infection is not uncommon. Authoritative experts infer that for women, the cumulative lifetime infection rate of HPV can reach 60% to 70%. In other words, 60% to 70% of women are infected with HPV in their lifetime, but this infection is generally transient.

Because when the body is infected with this type of virus, the body will slowly, in very rare cases, develop immunity to the virus quickly. When the resistance is strong enough, HPV will be eliminated. Therefore, many medical statistics show that although the proportion of people infected with HPV is very large, most of them are transient, that is, the viral infection will naturally disappear within 1-2 years (especially HPV infection). The immune system of most women can eliminate HPV that enters the body. Only a very small number of women with weaker immune functions cannot eliminate HPV that enters the body, resulting in persistent HPV infection. However, this process takes about 8 to 12 years before it may develop into cervical cancer.

Most cervical cancer patients diagnosed clinically are women over 30 years old. Therefore, married women can start HPV-DNA testing after the age of 30. A negative test result indicates that you are not infected with HPV, so you are not likely to be at risk of cervical cancer for a long period of time. Therefore, the inspection can be carried out again after 3 years. Even if the test result is positive, it does not necessarily develop into cervical cancer, because the body's immune system may be able to eliminate the virus. There is only a possibility of developing into cervical cancer, so a cervical acid-fast staining test should be performed first to see if there are already abnormal cervical cells. If not, these two tests should be reviewed every year. Once abnormalities are found, treatment should be carried out immediately so that cervical cancer can be eliminated in its early stages.

Therefore, for women, HPV infection is highly common and self-limiting. Even if you are infected with HPV, there is nothing to worry about. Generally, the body can gradually eliminate it. Women with a good immune system only need to have regular gynecological examinations and anti-cancer screening every year to avoid cervical cancer.
