You should donate blood while you are still young. It is not suitable to donate blood when you are too young or too old. 1. Age requirements for blood donors Article 2 of the Blood Donation Law of the People's Republic of China stipulates: "The state encourages healthy citizens aged 18 to 55 to donate blood voluntarily." The National Standard of the People's Republic of China "Requirements for Health Examination of Blood Donors" (GB18467-2011) states: "The state advocates that the age of blood donors should be between 18 and 55 years old; if a multiple blood donor who has no previous blood donation reaction and meets the health examination requirements actively requests to donate blood again, the age can be extended to 60 years old." The "Requirements for Health Examination of Blood Donors" clearly stipulates the extension of the age limit for blood donors, which is based on considerations for the physical health of blood donors and to meet the donation wishes of some regular blood donors. For voluntary blood donors, a satisfactory weight is good. Being too thin means you cannot donate blood, and being too fat can easily lead to high blood pressure and high blood lipids, which may also prevent you from donating blood. 2. Weight requirements for blood donors The "Health Examination Requirements for Blood Donors" stipulates that the weight of blood donors should be: male ≥50kg, female ≥45kg. Many places have set additional weight requirements for platelet donors, requiring both men and women to weigh 50kg or more. 3. Blood pressure regulations for blood donors Only by maintaining a calm mind and stabilizing blood pressure can one become a glorious voluntary blood donor. The "Health Examination Requirements for Blood Donors" stipulates that blood pressure should be: 90mmHg≤systolic pressure<140mmHg; 60mmHg≤diastolic pressure<90mmHg, pulse pressure difference≥30mmHg. If the examination value is not within this range, you cannot donate blood. If you have hypertension, even if your blood pressure is within the normal range after taking antihypertensive drugs, you cannot donate blood. Just do your best when donating blood. The total amount of platelets and plasma collected in a year shall not exceed 10 L. There are always people who question those who donate blood hundreds of times. For them, criticism cannot shake their firm belief, and donating blood every month has become the norm. V. Provisions on the interval between blood donations Requirements for Health Examination of Blood Donors: 1. Interval between whole blood donations: no less than 6 months; 2. The interval between platelet donations should be no less than 2 weeks and no more than 24 times per year. Real-name blood donation In order to protect the safety of blood donors, the Blood Station Management Measures stipulates: Blood donors should present valid identification documents before donating blood, and blood stations should verify and register them. Those who donate blood using someone else's identity should bear responsibility in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. Time flies, but everyone should try to do something meaningful in the limited time. Donating blood for free cannot be an unknown hero. It is not for leaving a name, but for being responsible for yourself and the blood used. 7. Valid ID Valid identification documents for blood donation are not specifically identity cards, but also include military (police) officer certificates, soldier certificates, passports, Hong Kong and Macau Passes, Taiwan Compatriot Certificates, and driver's licenses, etc. When donating blood, presenting the electronic ID card from the public security service platform has the same validity as the card-based ID card. For blood donors, they can be anyone in their dreams, but when donating blood, the staff will definitely verify the authenticity of the identity. 8.
