Four "characteristics" of cancer constitution: I hope you don't have any of them

Cancer, the word always causes panic and anxiety among people. It is like a cunning enemy, quietly invading our lives without our noticing. But do you know? In fact, cancer is not invincible. As long as we understand its formation principle and adopt the right coping strategy, we can effectively reduce the risk of cancer.

How does cancer develop?

Imagine that our body is like a large factory, with each cell being a busy machine. When these machines are functioning properly, the factory is in order. However, sometimes some problems disrupt this order, causing the machine to "work incorrectly", that is, some cells begin to proliferate out of control , and this is how cancer occurs.

In the cellular world, this can be caused by DNA damage. DNA is like an instruction manual for cells, telling them how to work. When errors occur in DNA, cells can lose control and become unruly "bad boys."

These uncontrolled cells continue to divide and eventually form tumors. Tumors are divided into two types: benign and malignant. Benign tumors usually do not spread to other parts, while malignant tumors, which we often call cancer, will invade surrounding tissues and even metastasize to distant organs, causing serious consequences.

Although cancer sounds scary, it doesn’t develop overnight. In fact, most cancers take years or even decades to grow big enough to be a problem. This means we have plenty of opportunities to detect and stop cancer in its tracks.

So, who is more likely to develop cancer?

Scientists have found some characteristics of groups that are easily targeted by cancer. In particular, the following four types of people are more likely to become targets of cancer:

1. People with a family history of cancer

If you have a family member who has had cancer, you may also be at a higher risk. This is because some cancers, such as lung cancer and colorectal cancer, are hereditary. Having a close relative who smokes and has a history of lung cancer increases your risk of developing lung cancer by 14 times. Having a parent with colorectal cancer increases your child's risk by 50 times.

2. Obese people : 11 types of cancer are related to obesity. According to research, when you are obese, your body is more likely to release inflammatory mediators and oxidative stress substances, which promote cancer growth.

3. Middle-aged and elderly people : As people age, the functions of various human systems gradually decline, and immunity decreases, making it easier for cancer to take advantage of the situation. According to statistics, the incidence of cancer has increased significantly among middle-aged and elderly people over 40 years old.

4. People with heavy psychological burdens : Long-term exposure to great mental stress will put the body in a state of stress, thus affecting the normal functioning of the immune system. A study of 8,000 cancer patients in the United States showed that most people experienced significant negative emotional changes before the onset of the disease.

Stay away from cancer: 3 things we can do

1. Lose weight

Control your diet : Choose whole grains, vegetables, and fruits, and reduce the intake of refined grains, processed meats, desserts, and fried foods.

Regular exercise : At least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week, such as brisk walking, jogging, swimming, etc.

2. Psychological adjustment : Maintain a calm mind, know how to release stress when encountering difficulties, and avoid long-term negative emotions that affect immunity.

3. Pay attention to physical examinations : Regularly conduct anti-cancer physical examinations, especially for people with a family history of cancer or those over 45 years old, and it is best to do it once a year. Many cancers have no obvious symptoms in the early stages and can only be discovered in time through professional examinations.

Finally, no matter where you are, remember to take care of your physical and mental health. After all, nothing is more important than having a healthy body.
