Thigh pain when turning over during late pregnancy

It is said that pregnancy is not easy. During the nearly ten months, you have to go through various hardships, such as morning sickness, insomnia, back pain, and some pregnant women will feel pain in the buttocks and thighs in the late pregnancy. Symptoms like morning sickness, insomnia, and backache are understandable, but what is the pain in the buttocks and thighs? This is usually caused by the separation of the ischial tuberosity, which is called "ischial tuberosity pain" in medicine. So what should I do if I have thigh pain in the late pregnancy?

What should I do if I have thigh pain in late pregnancy? How should I deal with pubic separation pain?

Mild pubic separation pain does not require medical treatment. Pregnant mothers can handle it by paying more attention to the following in their daily lives:

1. Don’t sit or stand for a long time: Pregnant mothers who are still working should get up and walk around after sitting for a long time, and it is best to install a harder lumbar pillow on the seat to provide a force point for the waist; it is even more convenient for pregnant mothers who give birth at home. If standing is too tiring, sit for a while, and if sitting is too tiring, lie down for a while.

2. If you feel pain in your buttocks and inner thighs, you can apply cold compress to the pubic symphysis, massage for a while after five minutes, and repeat several times. The pain will be relieved a lot.

3. Pregnant women should sleep on their left side at night, and it is best to put a pillow between their legs. When moving while lying in bed, first close your legs, use your hands to support your body, and then move slowly.

4. In addition, activities such as swimming and yoga are also helpful in preventing and alleviating pubic separation pain.

If the above method has no effect, pregnant mothers need to go to the hospital to seek help from a doctor. Generally, the doctor will recommend pregnant mothers to wear a pelvic correction belt, which can gather the separated ischial tuberosities and relieve the pain caused by the separation of the ischial tuberosities.
