Symptoms of unsuccessful contraception

Symptoms of unsuccessful contraception

The failure of women to use contraceptives is related to the contraceptive measures they use. Failure of contraception will cause pregnancy reactions, such as breast development, increased body temperature, morning sickness, drowsiness, and cessation of menstruation. Women can use early pregnancy test strips to check whether they are pregnant when menstruation stops. Women can distinguish the symptoms of unsuccessful contraception from these aspects.

Symptoms of unsuccessful contraception

1. Obvious changes in the breasts

If you have a high-intensity job and a fast-paced life, and you are already eight weeks pregnant and don’t know it, abnormal changes in your breasts can also be an important reminder for you. After eight weeks of pregnancy, the breasts will feel swollen, numb and slightly itchy. The color of the nipples will gradually darken, and thick dark brown nodules will appear around the areola.

2. Early pregnancy reaction

If your menstrual period is already irregular, has stopped for several weeks, and you are pregnant without knowing it, in the sixth week of pregnancy you will experience the so-called "early pregnancy reactions" such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and a craving for spicy and sour food.

3. Increased urination

After 8 weeks of pregnancy, the enlarged uterus will press on the bladder, which will reflexively cause increased urination, sometimes up to several or even dozens of times an hour. The frequency of urination increases, but the amount of urine does not increase, and is accompanied by symptoms such as mild dizziness and nausea.

4. Body temperature continues to rise

Under normal circumstances, young women have a lower body temperature before ovulation and a higher body temperature after ovulation. If your period has been delayed for several weeks and you feel your heartbeat is slightly faster without any cause, you need to go to the pharmacy and buy a thermometer to measure your temperature. If the measurement results show that your body temperature is slightly higher than usual for 20 consecutive days and remains high, you are very likely pregnant.

Choice of contraceptive method

1. Newlyweds

It is best to use condoms for men and short-acting oral contraceptives for women.

2. Couples visiting relatives

It is better to use condoms for men and contraceptive pills for women.

3. Breastfeeding women

Male condoms and female diaphragms plus contraceptive creams are preferred.

4. Couples with only one child

It is best to use short-acting oral contraceptives for women. If you need to have another child, just stop taking the contraceptives. When children are young, it is not advisable for both men and women to undergo sterilization to prevent accidents to their children. If you no longer want to have children, sterilization is the best option.

5. Menopausal women

Condoms, contraceptive diaphragms and contraceptive suppositories are preferred.

In general, the possibility of contraceptive failure is still very low. Generally, contraceptive failure often occurs because the contraceptive method used by the couple is not suitable or there is a problem with the operation method. Therefore, in order not to harm your health, it is very necessary to understand scientific and effective contraceptive methods.
