Gallbladder cancer is as terrible as pancreatic cancer

With the increase of health awareness

Many people have developed the habit of regular physical examinations .

However, physical examinations only help people discover health problems

After receiving the medical examination report, timely and accurate treatment

Only in this way can we truly help early detection and early treatment of diseases.

There are two patients

They are about the same age and have the same disease.

Different actions after receiving the medical examination report

Let them have different endings

The two patients were of similar age, but had the same disease but different fates.

"The pathological results showed that it was advanced gallbladder cancer . I should have come for treatment earlier." The speaker is 45-year-old Mr. Liu, who now regrets it very much.

It turned out that Mr. Liu was diagnosed with gallstones during a physical examination a few years ago, but he didn't take it seriously because it didn't hurt . Later, the gallstones gradually caused pain , but Mr. Liu kept putting it off because he was busy with work. It wasn't until the pain got worse recently that Mr. Liu came to Fujian Provincial Hospital for treatment. However, the examination found that Mr. Liu's gallstones had turned into gallbladder cancer , and the postoperative pathological results also confirmed this.

In contrast, Mr. Li, 47, was much luckier. Seeing the gallstones on the medical examination form, he did not dare to neglect it. Although he only had some minor pain occasionally, Mr. Li still sought medical treatment in time.

"The preoperative imaging examination did not find any evidence of gallbladder cancer, but considering that his gallbladder stones met the surgical indications , we recommended that Mr. Li remove the stones, and he accepted our suggestion," said Tian Yifeng, chief physician of the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Medical Center of Fujian Provincial Hospital. As a result, when the tissue removed during the operation was biopsied, it was found that the gallbladder tissue had already undergone early cancer . Because the operation was timely, Mr. Li no longer had to worry about gallbladder cancer in the later stage.

Tian Yifeng pointed out that gallstones are common , and although most people do not feel pain or itching, they are precisely the most common cause of gallbladder cancer . According to statistics, 70%-80% of gallbladder cancer patients develop cancer on the basis of gallstones, so don't think that if you have no symptoms, you are fine .

These three types of cancer are not "easy" . In the digestive system, the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas are adjacent to each other. They are not only important digestive organs of the human body, but also the three major chain "chemical factories" of the human body . Therefore, if there is a problem in any part, it will be life-threatening in severe cases!

More importantly, among all cancers, liver cancer, gallbladder cancer and pancreatic cancer are not easy to deal with . The early symptoms of these three cancers are not obvious, and most patients are already in the middle and late stages when they are discovered.

"Among the common malignant tumors in China, primary liver cancer ranks fourth, and among the top five malignant tumors causing death in China, liver cancer ranks second only to lung cancer. Liver cancer has an insidious onset, but once symptoms appear, it develops rapidly. In the past, it was believed that its natural course was 3 to 6 months, so it was given the title of 'King of Cancer'," said Yan Maolin, chief physician of the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Medical Center of the Provincial Hospital.

Today, the title of "King of Cancer" has changed hands. According to Chen Shi, chief physician of the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Medical Center of the Provincial Hospital, the incidence of pancreatic cancer has been increasing in recent years . Among all digestive tract tumors, pancreatic cancer has the lowest 5-year survival rate . In addition, pancreatic cancer surgery is extremely complicated and is extremely insensitive to existing chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Therefore, pancreatic cancer has become the new "King of Cancer" .

Gallbladder cancer is as terrible as pancreatic cancer . "It develops very quickly, has a very high chance of metastasis, and has a five-year survival rate of less than 5%, making it difficult to treat clinically," said Tian Yifeng.

Given that liver cancer, gallbladder cancer, and pancreatic cancer pose a serious threat to people's health, early screening, early diagnosis, and early treatment can greatly improve patients' survival rates.
