Can I suck the baby's milk on the sixth day of weaning?

Many parents wonder when is the right time to wean their baby. It is best to wean your child after the age of 2. Some parents may have no breast milk for various reasons before their baby is 2 years old. If the baby is fed with a combination of breast milk and formula, it will be easier to wean. In fact, cow's milk and infant formula can completely replace breast milk for feeding. So, do I need to drain it out six days after weaning? Can I suck it out on the sixth day after weaning?

The breasts do not continue to dry out within a week of the child being weaned. You don't have to drain all the fluid immediately after weaning. If your breasts are severely swollen, you can drain some of it appropriately until your breasts reach a comfortable level. If it is discharged immediately, new milk will appear inside. This is a repetitive process. We can only wait for it to slowly absorb the remaining breast milk.

There will be some milk lumps in the breast after weaning, don't worry, these milk lumps will be naturally digested and absorbed by the breast after a period of time. If you want to drain the milk, you should do it two months after weaning. Two months later is the best time to drain the milk. One week after the baby is weaned, the breasts will no longer be swollen with milk, and in about 15 days the breasts will stop secreting milk.

After weaning, the breasts should not be squeezed or touched hard, and the milk lumps inside should not be pressed hard, otherwise it will easily cause inflammation. In the later period of weaning, if the mother feels uncomfortable, she can buy some maltose and boil it in water to drink, which can relieve the pain. Ensure a normal diet, eat more vegetables, less meat, and drink water regularly.

After weaning, it is recommended not to squeeze out the milk for the time being, because squeezing out the milk can easily cause mammary gland reflex due to irritation to the mammary gland, and continue to allow the milk to be secreted, which will lead to the failure of milk withdrawal. If a woman still feels breast swelling during the weaning process, she can buy some fried maltose, boil some water and drink it every day, about 2 to 3 times a day. This can effectively alleviate the uncomfortable symptoms during weaning and help speed up the weaning process.
