Basal body temperature curve after pregnancy

Basal body temperature curve after pregnancy

What does the ovulation temperature trend chart during pregnancy reflect? The ovulation temperature is generally the lowest body temperature in a day. When you wake up in the morning, if you are healthy and wake up at the same time, your body temperature will be basically the same. The body temperature usually measured during routine physical examinations or other situations is easily affected by various aspects such as exercise and diet, so the relative difference is very large.

For fully grown women, their ovulation body temperature changes regularly, just like their menstrual cycle. This type of body temperature change is related to a woman's ovulation period, so the observation of body temperature during ovulation is often used to determine a woman's ovulation period, progesterone, whether she is pregnant, etc.

What is the basic principle of body temperature during ovulation?

The basic principle of the basal body temperature curve is actually not difficult to understand. It is affected by the progesterone value (luteinizing hormone) secreted by the progesterone produced by the uterus and ovaries after ovulation. After ovulation, the progesterone level rises, so the basal body temperature rises, causing the body temperature to change between high and low phases during ovulation.

Under normal circumstances, the follicular phase of women is about 14 days, that is, the corpus luteum secretes progesterone (luteinizing hormone) for about 14 days, so the high temperature period lasts about 12-16 days (14 days on average).

From the beginning of the menstrual period to before ovulation, the body temperature during ovulation is maintained at an ultra-low temperature because there is no progesterone (luteinizing hormone) metabolized by progesterone to affect the specific immune nerve center.

What are the benefits of accurately measuring and recording body temperature during ovulation?

Ovulation body temperature can reflect the ovulation status, the levels of progesterone and lutein, and can thus infer when to have sex, helping you calculate the best chance of pregnancy.

1. Ovulation temperature and ovulation period

The ovulation period is when the body temperature rises from ultra-low temperature to high temperature. Generally speaking, the body temperature curve during ovulation will first drop in temperature and then rise in temperature. There is also an ovulation period when the temperature rises immediately without decreasing. From the example, we can see that the normal ovulation period of a 28-day menstrual cycle is: the temperature decreases on the 14th day from the beginning of the menstrual period, and then rises to the high temperature period.

2. Ovulation body temperature and lutein and progesterone levels

The day after ovulation, the body produces progesterone (also known as progesterone growth hormone) due to the uterus and ovaries. A certain amount of progesterone (12.8nmol/L) can cause an increase in body temperature, so a woman's body temperature will rise to a certain extent after ovulation. Generally speaking, the progesterone level will increase the basic body temperature by about 0.3-0.6 degrees Celsius.

3. Ovulation temperature, sexual intercourse, and pregnancy

After finding the exact ovulation period based on the ovulation body temperature, having sex on the day of ovulation is the best time to get pregnant. It is easiest to get pregnant at this time. Pregnant mothers who want to have a baby should make good use of this golden time to have sex!
