Why is there no light in your eyes when you grow up?

Why is there no light in your eyes when you grow up?

Overwhelmed by life and work?

Or is it too polluted?

First look at 2 beautiful pictures to refresh your eyes

In addition to the above factors

Mainly because of the eye

We have worn it out.

1. There was light in my eyes when I was a child

Children's eyes are always crystal clear because their tear film is intact and has not been eroded too much.

The tear film is a layer of tear tissue on the surface of the cornea. It is a thin liquid film formed by tears in the conjunctival sac, which can keep our eyes moist and watery at all times.

Moreover, tears can make the cornea as smooth as a crystal ball, and when exposed to light, it will have a sparkling reflective effect.

2. When you grow up, your eyes become dull

1️⃣Tear film damage

The tear film is composed of three layers of tissue: lipid layer, serous layer and mucus layer. As we age, the mucin and aqueous layer of the mucus layer gradually decrease, tear turnover slows down, lipids become thinner, and symptoms of dry eyes gradually appear.

In addition, modern people spend a lot of time looking at electronic products every day, which over time causes the tear film to be damaged. Even with light exposure, the tear film is not as moist and transparent as before.

2️⃣Pigmentation

As we age, the conjunctival tissue is stimulated by various chemical and physical factors, the body's metabolism becomes abnormal, and more and more pigmentation accumulates in the conjunctival layer to form yellow spots, forming raised dark yellow substances in the white of the eye.

3️⃣Organic lesions

In addition to physiological causes of eye opacity, there may also be pathological causes, which are usually caused by fundus diseases, such as fundus hemorrhage, fundus holes, and opacity caused by pigment escaping into the vitreous cavity.
