Breast nodule removal surgery process

Breast nodule removal surgery process

In recent years, many women have been told that they have breast lumps when checking their breast health. Some women will choose surgical removal, because it is a breast surgery, the steps are very important. So, what are the steps for breast mass removal surgery?

When a breast lump requires surgical treatment, a color ultrasound, breast mammography, or even a biopsy is performed before the operation to make a pathological diagnosis. If the lump is considered to be benign, local anesthesia or general anesthesia may be used to perform a simple breast lump removal surgery. If the imaging diagnosis is poor and there is a suspicion of malignancy, for such breast lumps, adequate preparation should be made for malignant tumor eradication surgery before surgery, including follow-up examinations of the main internal organs of the body, whether there are signs of metastasis to the liver and lungs, and the condition of the axillary lymph nodes of the affected breast.

The mass removed during the operation is subjected to rapid cryopathology. If malignancy is considered, radical surgery should be performed and basic axillary lymph node dissection should be performed. Therefore, patients with breast lumps should go to a reliable breast surgeon for relevant examinations, and then decide how to perform surgery based on the examination results.

How many days do I need to be hospitalized after having breast lump surgery?

1. Breast lumps in women are actually a relatively common disease. Many women do not pay enough attention to mild lobular hyperplasia, so the condition of lobular hyperplasia will gradually become more serious. After lobular hyperplasia gradually becomes malignant, it will turn into breast lumps, which can be felt by palpation and are considered to be a relatively obvious symptom. Generally speaking, you can basically confirm it by going to the hospital for an ultrasound test or asking a doctor to palpate.

2. The surgery for female breast lumps is not a very big surgery. In terms of the scale of the surgery, it is only a minimally invasive surgery. A slight incision of about 2 cm is made on the breast. After the breast lump is removed, the muscles inside the breast are allowed to slowly fill in, and the breast can restore its original shape. This is a relatively complete surgery, and the pain is not too great for the patient. Therefore, this type of breast lump surgery can be hospitalized for about two to five days.

3. Some patients with good health can be hospitalized for about two days, but the length of hospitalization should not be too long. It is still necessary to follow the doctor's advice. Some people are relatively weak and have weak resistance. If they are hospitalized rashly, it will cause serious infection of the wound. After the infection, the wound will cause pus to flow, making the breast scarring worse and affecting the beauty of the breast.
