Is Caesarean section harmful to the body?

When a woman is pregnant and giving birth, she has two choices: one is a caesarean section, and the other is a natural birth. Although cesarean section can reduce the pain of pregnant women during childbirth, it causes certain damage to women's bodies and will also cause indelible scars. In more serious cases, some symptoms may also occur. So, is cesarean section harmful to the human body?

1. It will cause great harm to women's uterus. Gynecologists explained that during a caesarean section, a cross-section will be made on the woman's uterus in order to easily remove the baby from the abdomen. This type of trauma will take at least two years to fully recover, and there is a high possibility of infection in subsequent daily life, which is very harmful to the woman's body. In other words, women who have had a caesarean section will not be able to have a second child within two years.

2. After a pregnant woman has undergone surgery, she will be gently pressed by the nursing staff. The gynecologist introduced that after the cesarean section, the nursing staff will perform continuous gentle pressing on the pregnant woman's abdomen from time to time to see if there is postpartum lochia in the uterus. This is also to discharge the blood accumulated in the pregnant woman's body. Without the support of anesthetics, pregnant women will feel how painful this ruthless light pressure is.

3. The body recovers more slowly. Compared with women who give birth naturally, women who undergo cesarean section recover more slowly after delivery, and are more likely to have complications during the recovery period, and the wound will itch in rainy weather.

4. The wound is extremely painful when pregnant women get out of bed and move around. On the second day after the operation, the pregnant woman will be dragged out of bed by the doctor to move around. This is mandatory, regardless of whether the pregnant woman wants to do it or not. Of course, the pregnant woman is not allowed to act on her own at this time, but must do so with the help of her family. Even so, the unhealed wounds will be stretched and painful when walking. Therefore, it is recommended that pregnant women do not straighten their bodies when walking, but bend over and move forward slowly, trying to touch the wound as little as possible.
