Do women still have sexual desire after menopause?

Do women still have sexual desire after menopause?

Sex is very important for both men and women. A harmonious couple's life can help warm up the relationship between lovers. However, women will experience menopause after reaching a certain age, and menopause means a decrease in women's male hormones. Therefore, many people think that women after menopause have no physiological needs. But do women also have physiological needs after menopause?

Every woman's condition after menopause is different. Some women no longer have physiological needs after menopause, but most women still have physiological needs after menopause. It's just that the impulse of physiological needs will be much smaller than before. Menopause does have some impact on female sexual desire, but it is not likely to cause a complete disappearance of female sexual desire.

When women go through menopause, their sexual desire will decrease but it will not disappear. However, menopause will make women unable to get pregnant again. In the middle and late stages, as women age, the longer the menopause lasts, the weaker their physiological needs will be. After menopause, women's estrogen levels will become less and less, and of course they will not have such great demands on sexual desire.

Can a couple get pregnant after menopause?

Generally speaking, once women reach the age of 45 to 50, their menstrual cycles will stop. The number of eggs a woman has is fixed when she is born and will not increase throughout her life. In every menstrual cycle, one or more eggs are lost due to ovulation, and many other eggs will die. By the time a woman is 50, her primordial eggs are generally gone. The eggs remaining in her body have gone through half a century of vicissitudes, and their sensitivity to pituitary hormones has continued to decline. Moreover, because their number is very small, they cannot produce a certain amount of estradiol to stimulate the release of pituitary hormones. At this point, her periods stop, representing a loss of fertility.

But a woman's reproductive function and her sexual function are two different concepts, so even if she can't get pregnant, she can still have normal sexual activities as long as she still maintains her complete reproductive organs.
