According to data from research organization BCI, in the fourth quarter of 2023, Huawei retained its top spot in domestic sales in China's foldable screen mobile phone market with a 51.23% share.

Honor and Samsung ranked second and third with shares of 15.54% and 15.23% respectively.

Huawei Mate X5 accounted for 52.37% of sales in the large folding category, becoming the best-selling folding screen of the year and taking more than half of the folding screen mobile phone market share.

It is worth mentioning that when Huawei Mate X5 started pre-sale, Huawei's executive director and CEO of Terminal BG Yu Chengdong said: "The strongest foldable screen mobile phone is still Huawei!"

According to domestic media reports, in 2024, Huawei actively adjusted the pre-shipment volume of foldable screens to increase by nearly three times, from 2.6 million units last year to 7 million to 10 million units, and at the same time issued a "chasing order" to the supply chain.
