As of December 2016, the government, public security, Youth League, transportation, and judicial institutions have opened government microblogs. The Youth League has opened the largest number of government microblogs, with a total of 36,494, followed by government agencies, with a total of 36,089. The Youth League and the Public Security Bureau have opened more public servant microblogs, with 8,385 and 7,828 respectively.

In terms of regions, Beijing has made great efforts in online government service publicity in 2016, with the most government microblogs in the top 20, with a total of 8, followed by Henan Province, with a total of 4.
