As of December 2016, via Sina The number of government microblogs certified by the platform reached 164,522, an increase of 8.0% from the end of 2015. Among them, there were 125,098 microblogs of government agencies and 39,424 microblogs of public officials.

Among them, Guangdong Province has opened 12,707 government microblogs, ranking first in the country; Henan Province has 9,630 government agency microblogs, the most in the country; Beijing has the largest number of public servants' microblogs in the country, with a total of 4,169 certified microblogs.

As of December 2016, the government, public security, Youth League, transportation, and judicial institutions have opened government microblogs. The Youth League has opened the largest number of government microblogs, with a total of 36,494, followed by government agencies, with a total of 36,089. The Youth League and the Public Security Bureau have opened more public servant microblogs, with 8,385 and 7,828 respectively.

As of December 2016, the Communist Youth League Central Committee ranked first in terms of the number of reposts of its microblogs, with a total of 8.48 million reposts. In terms of fields, users pay the most attention to government, public security, and judicial information. Among the top 20, government agencies account for 8, which is the largest proportion of agencies; followed by public security agencies, which account for 5 of the top 20. In terms of regions, Beijing has made great efforts in online government service publicity in 2016, with the most government microblogs in the top 20, with a total of 8, followed by Henan Province, with a total of 4.
