Juniper Research: Tablet revenue forecast to reach $13.3 billion in 2019

Research firm Juniper Research recently released a survey report predicting that by 2019, tablet profits will rise from $3.6 billion this year to $13.3 billion.

Juniper believes that a number of factors are contributing to the growth in tablet revenue: improved tablet performance, enhanced graphics capabilities, increased storage space and the growing popularity of tablets.

At the same time, Juniper predicts that next year will be an important year for independent developers. In order to gain a foothold in the increasingly competitive mobile application market, developers must find ways to raise more funds to attract players' attention in the competition.

It is worth noting that Juniper predicts that paid games will only account for 6% of the total mobile games in 2019, and the mainstream of the market will be in-app purchase games and games with built-in advertisements. This data is not exaggerated. Currently, 94% of mobile games in the iOS App Store in China and Japan are in-app purchases, and this proportion has reached 81% in the US market.
