What to do if your eyes are red and swollen during breastfeeding

If swelling occurs in both eyes, the cause of the swelling should be identified and then medication should be used for treatment. Red eyes are often caused by various infections or inflammations. If the swelling is accompanied by excessive discharge and blurred vision, it is considered to be a bacterial or viral infection and appropriate anti-infective eye drops can be used. Basic used medicines include aminoglycoside eye drops such as tolbecco, macrolide eye drops such as chlortetracycline, and eye drops such as levofloxacin and rifampicin. If the swelling is severe, you can also use anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, such as oral erythromycin and cephalosporin drugs. In addition, the most important thing is to avoid excessive use of the eyes when the eyes are red, avoid various irritating foods or excessive exercise, and you can also perform hot compresses and acupuncture therapy appropriately.

Redness of the eye circles, swelling of the upper eyelid skin, and a painful lump that can be touched are considered to be tarsalgia.

Meibomitis, also known as stye, is a purulent change caused by the infection of the meibomian glands of both eyes by Staphylococcus aureus. Antibiotic eye drops are used for treatment, such as levofloxacin eye drops. During the treatment period, a light diet should be taken, and spicy food, beef and other ingredients should be avoided.

With the progress of the current medical history, some patients' meibomian adenitis will develop purulent changes, and yellow-white pus spots can be seen on the surface of the skin. You need to go to the hospital and do the incision and drainage of the cyst under clean and sterile conditions. After the pus is released, the swelling will be relieved and the inflammation will disappear faster.

Red eyes may have the following reasons: First, whether there is a stye or chalazion. In addition to swelling, sty and chalazion will also cause pain and gradually develop pus spots on the surface. The pain will be relieved after the pus is discharged and gradually improve. You can apply erythromycin eye ointment. Secondly, trachoma may cause conjunctival congestion, tearing, etc., but generally there is no pain. Secondly, poor sleep quality and lack of rest can cause red eyes. Finally, nephritis may cause eyelid swelling when waking up in the morning, or accompanied by lower limb edema, proteinuria, high blood pressure and other main manifestations.
