How to tell pregnancy during breastfeeding

Whether you are pregnant during breastfeeding cannot be determined based on the presence or absence of any symptoms. Whether you are pregnant or not ultimately depends on the results of blood and urine HCG tests, because the existence of all symptoms is affected by too many factors. For example, even if menstruation is delayed, even if there are obvious symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or dizziness, it is possible that menstruation is delayed simply due to breastfeeding or other reasons. It may also be due to psychological factors or poor sleep, which lead to some other symptoms. Many people also have psychological disorders, which cause discomfort all over the body, no menstruation, and the final examination does not show pregnancy.

The first feeling of pregnancy is early pregnancy reaction and amenorrhea, and 40% of people experience early pregnancy reaction. If you do not have any signs of amenorrhea during breastfeeding, and do not experience early pregnancy symptoms, nausea, or sleepiness, it is difficult to tell whether you are pregnant. If your appetite decreases significantly during pregnancy and lactation, you should be concerned about the amount of milk secretion. In addition, the mental state is not as good as before. These are all information, but the key is to do a good job of contraception. You can have sex at any time in the future. There is a possibility of pregnancy at any time.

Therefore, you should be aware of whether you are pregnant. It is best to use condoms for contraception to protect yourself before your first menstruation. Of course, condoms are not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. If you feel uneasy after having sex, you can go to the hospital to check the HCG level about ten days after sex.

Regardless of whether they give birth naturally or by caesarean section, some pregnant women will have their first menstruation 42 days after giving birth, that is, after the confinement period. However, some pregnant women still do not have their first menstruation 8 to 9 months after giving birth, or even one year after giving birth. This situation is also normal. Generally speaking, the menstrual period of breastfeeding pregnant women will resume relatively late, while the menstrual period of non-breastfeeding pregnant women will resume relatively early. During breastfeeding, if menarche has not been restored, ovulation may still be restored at any time, which means there is a possibility of pregnancy.
