Why is there more leucorrhea after ovulation?

For most adult women, they usually calculate their own periods of each month. This is also a relatively effective time calculation to prevent unwanted pregnancy. However, some women will experience increased vaginal discharge after ovulation. So let’s take a look at why vaginal discharge increases after ovulation?

Under normal circumstances, the leucorrhea during ovulation is white, thin, or egg white-like, with a small amount and no odor. You should not feel the leucorrhea flowing out at ordinary times. It only occurs during ovulation. Leucorrhea after ovulation is a normal physiological manifestation of women. In addition, the amount of leucorrhea may increase during pregnancy, before and after menstruation, sexual intercourse, and sexual excitement. There is no need to worry too much. You can wash the vulva with warm water and keep the vulva clean. Generally speaking, as long as the color and odor of the leucorrhea do not change significantly, there is no need for treatment. Just keep the vulva clean.

It may also be caused by gynecological inflammation. It is best to pay attention to good hygiene and regular work and rest, maintain a good attitude, go to the hospital for a B-ultrasound and colposcopy examination of the secretions to confirm the current cause of the disease, and take targeted treatment measures at the early stage.

Under normal circumstances, the quality and quantity of leucorrhea vary with the menstrual cycle. After menstruation, the leucorrhea is white, small in amount, and paste-like. In the middle of the menstrual cycle when the ovaries are about to ovulate, due to the vigorous secretion of the cervical glands, the amount of leucorrhea increases, and it becomes transparent, slightly sticky, and egg white-like. 2-3 days after ovulation, the leucorrhea becomes turbid, sticky and less in quantity. Before and after menstruation, due to pelvic congestion, vaginal mucosal exudate increases. Usually it occurs more before and after the menstrual period, during ovulation and pregnancy. If there are no other symptoms, it is considered "physiological leucorrhea".

Therefore, the increase of leucorrhea after female ovulation is a relatively normal physiological phenomenon, but people need to be reminded to pay attention to the condition of leucorrhea. If the leucorrhea is thicker and has a stronger odor, gynecological diseases should be considered. But if it is clear and has no odor, there is no problem.
