Amazon official: Kindle device sales exceeded 1 million units per week in the past 3 weeks

According to foreign media reports, Amazon announced on Thursday that Kindle device sales have exceeded 1 million units per week in the past three weeks.
Amazon rarely discloses sales performance of specific products, and industry insiders believe that it does so to dilute the adverse impact caused by some negative reviews of the Kindle Fire after its launch.
Amazon said in a statement that Kindle device sales have remained above 1 million units for three consecutive weeks, with more units sold each week than the previous week. The sales data released by Amazon includes sales of Kindle Fire tablets and all Kindle e-book readers.

Amazon does not break out sales figures for the Kindle Fire, but Amazon executive Dave Limp said Kindle Fire tablet sales have increased each week over the past three weeks.

An Amazon spokesman said the company had previously said it had sold millions of Kindle devices but had never disclosed weekly sales figures.

Prior to this, some media published some negative reviews about Kindle Fire, mainly focusing on issues such as the slow response of the user interface and web browser, and the need to strengthen privacy and child protection.
