Workers can't escape shoulder and neck pain. Try these 5 methods to relieve shoulder and neck fatigue

Sitting for a long time, looking at the computer, taking a nap, and looking down at the phone are typical characteristics of modern workers. However, every worker cannot escape the pain in the neck and shoulders. If you are also troubled by the pain in the neck and shoulders, you can try the following methods to relieve it:

1. Knead the connection between the neck and shoulders, and adjust the strength according to the degree of muscle soreness, which can effectively relieve muscle tension and soreness;

2. Stretch your neck, straighten your back, put your left hand on your right ear, exhale, bring your head to your shoulder, press your hand slightly downward, and push your head upward. Hold for 20-30 seconds and then switch to the other side. This movement can relieve shoulder and neck fatigue and improve muscle stiffness.

3. In daily life, we always bow our heads more often than we look up. This is harmful to the cervical spine in the long run, so we should try to maintain a balance between the two, increase the number of times we look up, and reduce the time spent bowing our heads;

4. Stretch the shoulder blade muscles. First, straighten your back, keep your shoulders away from your ears, hug your arms, feel the muscles of your shoulder blades being pulled, and lower your head slightly. Hold for five seconds. Cross your hands and open them naturally. Place them behind your head without hunching your back. Open your chest naturally, and tilt your head slightly back. Feel the muscles relax. Hold for five seconds.

5. For the backward pulling method, you should first stand naturally, with the arm on the painful shoulder rotated inward and stretched backward. Use the healthy hand to pull the hand or wrist on the painful side, gradually pulling it toward the healthy side. You can also use the normal upper limb to assist the affected limb in lifting the upper arm on the front of the body.

Finally, the editor reminds everyone: In addition to the above-mentioned relief movements, we should try to reduce sitting time in life and work, move our bodies at intervals, maintain a healthy sitting posture when working, do not hunch over, do not cross your legs, and try to keep the computer screen level with your eyes to reduce the pressure on the cervical spine.
