01. How old are you?

A.18~50 years old: Congratulations, you passed. Please go to the second level

02. How severe is your myopia?

A. Myopia 50-1200 degrees: Congratulations, you can consider laser femtosecond surgery, please see the third level

B. Myopia 50-1800 degrees: Congratulations, you can consider ICL lens implantation surgery

03. Do you currently have active inflammatory eye diseases?

(such as blepharitis, acute conjunctivitis, dacryocystitis, corneal ulcer, iridocyclitis, etc.)

A. No: Congratulations, you passed. Please go to level 4.

B. Yes: It is recommended to go to the hospital for follow-up in time to confirm whether the patient has recovered before considering whether surgery is suitable.

04. Do you currently suffer from diabetes or autoimmune diseases?

A. No: Congratulations, you passed. Please go to level 5.

B. Have: uncontrolled diabetes, uncontrolled immune system disease, unsuitable for surgery

05. Do you have extremely poor corrected vision after wearing glasses or do you have severe amblyopia?

A. No: Congratulations, you passed. Please go to level 6.

B. Yes: It is recommended to check the cause of poor corrected vision in detail to see if treatment or re-eye examination is needed.

06. Have you ever suffered from keratoconus or glaucoma?

A. No: Congratulations, you passed. Please go to level 7.

B. Patients with: keratoconus, glaucoma, severe eyelid defect and deformation are not suitable for myopia surgery

07. Have your figures been stable in the past two years?

A. Stable: Congratulations! At present, your basic condition meets the conditions for surgery. It is recommended that you go to an ophthalmologist as soon as possible for preoperative examinations to determine the specific eye conditions such as corneal thickness and curvature.

B. Unstable: The degree increases rapidly. It is recommended that you pay more attention to your eye habits.

What are the tests included in the preoperative examination for myopia surgery?

Before myopia surgery, about 18 preoperative examinations are required, mainly including the following purposes:

First of all, it is necessary to check the vision, including naked eye vision, subjective and objective optometry, corrected vision, etc. Because mydriasis is also required, we generally recommend that you do not drive there by yourself on the day of the preoperative examination.

Secondly, check the basic condition of the eyes, mainly including checking the eye position to see if there is strabismus; intraocular pressure to rule out diseases such as glaucoma; slit lamp to check for active eye lesions and abnormalities of the cornea and lens; fundus to rule out fundus diseases; tear secretion and other series of examinations to check if there are any eye diseases that are not suitable for myopia surgery.

You do not need to be hospitalized after myopia surgery, and you can go home on the same day after surgery. Generally speaking, if there is no abnormality in the first day of postoperative checkup, it will not affect normal work and daily use of the eyes. And you can have regular postoperative checkups on the first day, one week, one month, three months, six months, and one year after surgery to confirm the recovery of your eyes. After one year, check once or twice a year, and follow up if you are not well.
