Then, if they feel a little bit different, they will test it. So, do you want to know how many days after the menstrual period the test strips can detect it? Next, I will popularize the knowledge of pregnancy testing for everyone.

How many days after menstruation can I use a test strip to detect pregnancy?

If a woman has a normal sexual life and experiences amenorrhea without taking any contraceptive measures, the possibility of pregnancy should be considered first. For women with regular menstruation, pregnancy can usually be detected 3 days after amenorrhea, but the accuracy is higher if tested after 7 days.

There are two common ways to confirm pregnancy: early pregnancy test paper and B-ultrasound.

1. Early pregnancy test paper: Women can use the test paper for testing more than 7 days after menstruation. Under normal circumstances, there are two kinds of results: put urine in the test hole on the pregnancy test paper. If a printed band appears in the contrast area of the pregnancy test paper (some pregnancy test papers are bright red, and some are dark blue), it means you are not pregnant. On the contrary, if an obvious printed band appears in the test area, it means it is positive, indicating pregnancy. Ladies are reminded to use morning urine for early pregnancy test, as the results are more accurate. After the lady has finished the test, she should go to the hospital for a B-ultrasound test immediately.

2. B-ultrasound examination: Generally speaking, B-ultrasound examination starts in the 5th week of pregnancy, which is one week after the menstrual period. A circular halo in the uterus can be shown on the B-ultrasound screen, also known as the pregnancy ring. The shadow inside the ring is the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman, in which the regular fetal heartbeat can also be seen. Using B-ultrasound to diagnose early pregnancy is the most appropriate and reliable way.
