What is the concept of photosynthesis? Why did photosynthesis choose the green majority?

Photosynthesis is the process by which producers such as plants, algae, and some bacteria use light energy to convert carbon dioxide, water, or hydrogen sulfide into carbohydrates. Photosynthesis can be divided into oxygenic photosynthesis and anoxygenic photosynthesis. Most plants carry out photosynthesis in chloroplasts. Have you ever studied why this is? What is the concept of photosynthesis?

Photosynthesis is the process by which producers such as plants, algae, and some bacteria use light energy to convert carbon dioxide, water, or hydrogen sulfide into carbohydrates. Photosynthesis can be divided into oxygenic photosynthesis and non-oxygenous photosynthesis. Plants are called producers in the food chain because they can use inorganic matter to produce organic matter and store energy through photosynthesis, with an energy conversion efficiency of about 6%. Through consumption, consumers in the food chain can absorb the energy stored in plants, with an efficiency of about 10%. For most organisms, this process is the key to their survival. Photosynthesis is the most important link in the carbon-oxygen cycle on Earth.

Why photosynthesis chose the green majority

Most plants carry out photosynthesis in chloroplasts, because the chlorophyll in chloroplasts can absorb light energy from the sun (stimulate electron transitions through the photoelectric effect, which can be found in the content related to "photosystem", or the first step of photosynthesis), and finally convert it into stable chemical energy through a series of steps and store it in compounds (the general product is glucose). The green part of the plant has chloroplasts, and photosynthesis can be carried out as long as there is light of the right wavelength. Having green parts but not photosynthesis has no evolutionary and adaptive significance for plants, and the chlorophyll produced in the body does not play a role, which is also unreasonable in terms of the nature of chlorophyll.

Difference Between Photosynthesis Light and Sunlight

Sunlight must be light, but light is more than just sunshine. The care conditions for plants require certain light conditions to be met. If they are not met, they cannot photosynthesize. Different plants have different requirements. Artificial assisted care must reach a certain value to be equivalent to the effect of sunlight on plants.
