The "Healthy China Action (2019-2030)" clearly proposes to implement special actions such as the health promotion action for primary and secondary schools and the mental health promotion action, and clarifies the path to promote the mental health and comprehensive quality development of children and adolescents. A healthy lifestyle is the basis for promoting the physical and mental health of children and adolescents. To this end, the "Initiative" proposes that every child and adolescent should take the initiative to develop a healthy lifestyle, eat well, exercise well, and sleep well. They should not only have a healthy body, but also form an independent and sound personality, self-confidence and self-reliance, and harmonious and stable interpersonal relationships, laying a solid foundation for happy study and life and a bright future. Eat well Food diversity: A balanced diet, mainly composed of grains, with whole grains accounting for at least 1/3, rich in fruits and vegetables, and moderate amounts of animal foods (or fish, livestock, poultry, meat, eggs) and nuts. Eat soy products regularly, and insist on consuming the equivalent of 300 grams of dairy products (fresh milk, yogurt or cheese, etc.) every day. Meal habits: three meals a day, regular and quantitative, moderate diet, no partiality to dieting, no overeating, maintain appropriate weight gain. Develop good eating habits, ensure appropriate daily energy and nutrient intake, cherish and enjoy food. Behavioral health: Read labels when buying food, and avoid snacks high in oil, salt, and sugar. Eat a light diet, and avoid spicy noodles, potato chips, mustard tubers, pickles, and sauce-based foods. Drink plenty of boiled water, avoid or drink less sugary drinks, and stay away from alcohol. Good exercise Scientific exercise: Rely on scientific guidance and help, proceed step by step, exercise regularly and moderately according to your ability. Avoid sitting for long periods of time: Reduce the use of electronic products, strictly control the time spent watching TV, using computers, and playing electronic games every day, and the total time should not exceed 1 hour per day. Reduce the time spent sitting still, take the initiative to leave your seat and go outdoors during breaks, and keep exercising on weekends and holidays.
