How to avoid allergies in children

So how can we prevent children from having allergies? We can remove the pathogenic factors of allergies according to the pathways of allergens entering the human body and environmental factors, as shown in the following:

1. Avoid allergens

Although allergens are everywhere, we can roughly classify them into 5 categories:

1. Contact allergens;

2. Inhaled allergens: dust mites, cockroaches, animal fur, pollen, cigarettes, air pollution, car exhaust;

3. Food: flour, milk, eggs, fish, shrimp, crab, peanuts, cashews, soybeans and some fruits and vegetables;

4. Drugs: Common antipyretic and analgesic drugs, or some antibiotics can easily cause allergies;

5. Others: There are individual differences, for example, anti-allergic drugs can also cause allergies.

Since the immune systems of infants and young children are still developing, early intervention can be given by detecting allergens early.

2. Achieve “Avoid, Avoid, Replace, and Move”

After identifying the allergens, what you need to do is "avoid, avoid, replace, and transfer".

“Avoid” means avoiding all suspected or known allergens;

"Avoid" means to avoid taking any suspected or known allergenic foods and drugs;

"Substitution" means replacing foods and drugs that may or are known to cause allergies with foods and drugs that have the same or similar effects but are not allergenic;

"Transfer" means removing the allergens from the patient's living environment, or moving the child out of an unfavorable environment.
