According to previous epidemic data, the virus has strong transmission ability, is more adaptable to the human body, replicates quickly, has a high load in the body, and patients have a slow rate of negative conversion, a long treatment time, and are prone to severe illness.

First, we must conduct more rigorous tracing and epidemiological investigation, strive to make tracing more accurate, ensure that no close contacts or secondary close contacts are missed, and focus on controlling high-risk groups.

Second, the determination of control areas should be more scientific and comprehensive, and high-risk and medium-risk areas should be adjusted in a timely manner, so as to strive to control the risk of transmission within the control areas.

Third, measures must be taken faster and more strictly. We must still adhere to the current public health and social prevention and control measures, and these measures must be implemented more strictly. In addition, prevention and control measures such as tracing the source, epidemiological investigation, close contact management, and key population control must race against time with the spread of the virus, and all measures must be faster and stricter.

Fourth, timely conduct full-scale testing in key areas to make the discovery of patients more thorough, without omissions, and quickly cut off transmission. Therefore, Nanjing has currently carried out two rounds of full-scale nucleic acid testing, and some key areas have carried out three rounds.

Fifth, key places must implement strict prevention and control measures. In public places such as the two stations, one airport, one wharf, and large supermarkets, strict prevention and control measures such as temperature measurement and code verification, wearing masks, avoiding gatherings, and ventilation and disinfection must be implemented.

Sixth, all people should participate in the joint prevention of the epidemic. The public should strictly wear masks and maintain good hand hygiene in public places such as public transportation, two stations and one pier; clean and disinfect hands in time after touching door handles, faucets, elevator buttons and other facilities in public places, such as 75% alcohol disinfection, etc.; reduce crowding, keep a distance of more than 1 meter from others in public places, and avoid crowds; cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or elbow when sneezing or coughing in public places; reduce the use of public tableware and adhere to the separate dining system; once symptoms such as fever, fatigue, dry cough, and decreased sense of smell and taste occur, you must go to the nearest fever clinic for treatment and conduct nucleic acid testing in time to rule out new crown infection.

As of the 26th, Nanjing has a total of 112 infected people, 3 mild cases have turned into common cases

At the press conference, Yang Dasuo, deputy director of the Nanjing Municipal Health Commission, reported that from 0:00 to 24:00 on July 26, 2021, Nanjing had 31 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (7 of which were asymptomatic infections converted to confirmed cases). The newly reported cases were still mainly concentrated in key control areas. The relevant close contacts and secondary close contacts have been identified and managed in accordance with relevant regulations. As of 24:00 on July 26, the city had reported a total of 106 local confirmed cases (66 of which were mild, 38 were common, and 2 were severe), and 6 local asymptomatic infections. Among the 112 infected people, there were 99 cases in Jiangning, 6 cases in Lishui, 2 cases in Gaochun District, and 1 case each in Xuanwu District, Qinhuai District, Jianye District, Gulou District, and Qixia District.

So far, all 106 confirmed cases are being treated at the Tangshan Branch of Nanjing Second Hospital (Nanjing Public Health Medical Center), 3 of whom have been diagnosed with mild symptoms and are now in stable condition. 6 asymptomatic cases are also currently being isolated and medically managed at the Tangshan Branch of Nanjing Second Hospital.

Why have the number of new cases in Nanjing continued to increase in the past two days?

Ding Jie introduced that the recently reported cases were mainly found through screening of high-risk personnel and sampling tests at isolation points, and a few were found through screening of airport stopovers, all of whom were related personnel and close contacts of Lukou Airport. "The recent increase in case reports is mainly due to the particularity of the location where this round of epidemic occurred and the high infectiousness of the virus. The strain that caused the epidemic has a strong ability to spread and spreads quickly. The particularity of the location where this round of epidemic occurred has also led to further expansion of the transmission area." Ding Jie said that due to the expansion of control and intensive screening at the current stage, cases are being discovered as early as possible.

In the early stage of this epidemic, the infection cases appeared among cabin cleaning staff, and the disease first spread rapidly among cabin cleaning staff, and then spread further through social activities, pollution in the working environment, etc. At present, a large number of close contacts and secondary close contacts have been traced and managed. Through the testing of these controlled populations and the testing at different times every day, cases are constantly being discovered. All residential areas in Nanjing have implemented strict entry and exit control

On the evening of the 26th, the Social and Community Prevention and Control Group of the Joint Prevention and Control Command Center for the New Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province issued a notice: From now on, all residential communities in Nanjing will implement strict entry and exit controls. Couriers and delivery personnel are not allowed to enter the community, and owners must pick up their items at designated locations.

Starting from the 27th, 8 long-distance passenger stations in Nanjing will be suspended, and taxis and online ride-hailing vehicles are not allowed to leave Nanjing. According to the recent epidemic prevention and control requirements, in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, Nanjing will implement the following transportation epidemic control measures from 0:00 on the 27th:

1. Nanjing Bus Station, South Bus Station, East Bus Station, North Bus Station, Getang Bus Station, Lishui Bus Station, Gaochun Bus Station, Gaochun Shuangpaishi Bus Station and other 8 long-distance bus stations in the city have suspended operations. Nanjing Jiangning Bus Station has suspended operations since the 21st.

2. Suspend all chartered tourist bus services in the city.

3. The routes of 19 adjacent bus lines in the city will be shortened and operated within the city.

4. Taxis (including online-hailing taxis) in the city are not allowed to leave Ningbo and must strictly implement relevant prevention and control measures as required.

Nanjing Lukou Airport is under full closed management

On the 26th, the Jiangsu Provincial Nanjing Municipal Party Committee's Epidemic Response Leading Group and the Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Command held an enlarged meeting to announce: Lukou Airport and related staff will be fully closed and managed, personnel from on-site units will be evacuated and centralized for isolation, and the reserve and standardized management of centralized isolation facilities will be strengthened.
