After using this luxury eye cream, I developed fat particles under my eyes?

Many people find that small white bumps as big as sesame seeds often grow around their eyes. People habitually call them "fat particles."

What exactly are fat particles?

In fact, from a medical point of view, sebaceous cysts are divided into two types: "miliary papules" and "syringomas", and most people's sebaceous cysts are actually milia papules.

Milia often appear around the eyes and forehead, and are white or yellowish pinhead-sized protrusions.

How does milia come about?

Generally, it is because the epidermis in the sebaceous gland area is over-keratinized due to natural metabolism, and finally bulges and becomes the small white particles we see.

In some cases, milia is caused by damage to the epidermis and then irritation.

Is there any relationship between the formation of fat particles and the use of eye cream? It may not be entirely the fault of eye cream, because some people will also develop fat particles without applying eye cream.

As for some people who develop fat particles after applying eye cream, this may be because there are already tiny wounds or inflammations in the eye skin.

If the eye cream you use is somewhat irritating, or you are intolerant to some of the ingredients in the eye cream, it will accelerate the inflammation of the skin around your eyes and stimulate the skin to produce fat particles.

Therefore, eye cream may be a trigger rather than a direct cause of fat particles.

If fat particles appear after using eye cream, it is recommended to stop using it and wait for the fat particles to disappear on their own.

Never squeeze it with your hands or pick it with a needle, as that may cause bigger skin problems.

If the fat particles cannot be eliminated on their own for a long time, you can go to a regular hospital for needle cleaning.

To prevent fat particles, you need to pay attention to:

Use mild and non-irritating eye products daily;

Do not use physical friction (scrubs, etc.) or exfoliating products around the eyes to avoid small wounds around the eyes;

Don't rub your eyes vigorously and repeatedly even if you have nothing to do.

In addition, the skin around our eyes is very thin and relatively "fragile", so we should also do a good job of sun protection and moisturizing to avoid skin damage.

Sun protection: Sunglasses, sun hats, umbrellas and other hard sun protection equipment;
Moisturizing: eye cream/eye essence and other eye skin care products.

How to apply eye cream? There is no clear rule on how to apply eye cream, but there are two central principles:

Lightly apply

Uniform

Remember: Be sure to avoid excessive physical friction.

As for the technique of applying eye cream, we summarize it as follows:

Use your ring finger to take an appropriate amount of eye cream and apply it evenly under the eyes;

Use your ring finger to gently tap the skin around your eyes, paying attention to the position of each point. The amount of eye cream should be even, and don't miss the key positions such as the corners of the eyes! When applying eye cream, be careful not to apply too much force or pull it.

Massage the area around your eyes in circular motions until the eye cream is absorbed. Be sure to use gentle pressure.

Circle direction: above the eye, from the temple to the inner corner of the eye; below the eye, from the inner corner of the eye to the temple.

Having said so much, please don’t blame the eye cream for the fat particles. Eye cream feels wronged.
